Because GG always like no 1 car right? biggrin.gif

I suggest anyone who don't feel the car the way it should must try a hand at realfeel

MaxForceAtSteeringRack=-3250.000000
SteeringDamper=11500.000000
FFBMixerRealFeelPercent=100.000000
SmoothingLevel=4

Overall Effects Strength 102% - 103%
the rest is 0 with centering spring ticked

I use full FFB 100% in rfactor, and go to upgrade at mod and picked realfeel in the ffb type of upgrade.

One more thing, use less steering lock for countersteer stability.

i have the same setting as PCcrazy, but still high on MaxForceAtSteeringRack which is -1500 (The lower the value the stronger the ffb).

I don't know about how momo behave under different values, but G25, when the Max Force is set to high, you might lose some subtle forces that tells you the character of the car since the high resistance of the steering is masking the subtle forces.

But no harm done in trying both figures, it's like a car setting anyway. Before you set a car on the track, you must calibrate the control to an extent you can relate the feel as a gradual transition of force. If you are not able to that, many things in the car will surprise you and trust me it will get frustrating as the laps were unveiled.

Remembering is not the way to drive, to drive in a proper consistent way is to teach the muscle. If the feedback is giving you this, the wheel must do this, the brake must do this and the throttle must do this. If there is no memory in the muscle to tell you that, most of the time you will tend to be more intuitive. You tend to brake too much, put the strain on the tyres unnecessarily, and throttling too early before you should.

Oh, forgot to mention, if you are aggressive on the throttle, good settings will let you escape for sometimes. But in order to get advantage over the long runs, we all need to learn half throttling particularly with Champcar.

Wah, the new point system will reward those who consistently attend races. Missing one race would be too detrimental on championship winning hope.

Say there is 10 rounds, the perfect scenario is that you win 8 rounds, finish third 1 round and missed 1 rounds, so 273 points, your closest competitor finish 2nd in 9 rounds and win a round that would be 274. So guys, anyone is up for the titles the way the admins put up the points, but make sure not to miss any rounds. Wah, the admins are really strict on the attendance seeing the way they put the points.

Great, how about the rules this season?

I mean the wear, fuel, race distance?

If we are running full race distance/time I hope we stick the wear/fuel rates to normal since Champcar mod was produce to simulate real life race hence produces real life fuel consumption and wear rates, so we can have similar strategy to real life counterparts. But if we are going to shorten the distance and make strategy a bit different, then its okay la.

You have the copy of the installer right? Remove the jacksparrow, and reinstall is better.

On a side note to MSR admins,

After several test sessions, I would like to point out few of my findings so far that might render our season a bit plain, in other words similar strategy all across the fields due to rule fuel 2X.

I have find that red tyres can last very well for full tank load, so I bet there wont be a need to use black tyre since the fuel will run out first before the tyres. This is just my concern, If we can drop the fuel to normal, perhaps we can see some of the teams might opt for harder compound (black) which is slower but last a bit longer. Those who stay on the red will have to stop or struggle with the car and nurse it home (pit).

This is my concern for this season, any feedback expressed is not to highlight flaws of the admins. Please understand that, I dont have that intention.

If the admin says okay, red is okay all season, then that is fine by me. On the positive side we will have equal strategy across the field. So no is at any advantage or disadvantage due to lack of testing at any tracks.

Noted....the admins do have similar concern.

My personal take on 2x is, it requires more nursing, both tyres and fuel. It takes close watch of the fuel consumption, it requires less scrubbing of the tyres in corners if u want ur reds to last - for example.

The 2x ruling would reward (still my personal opinion) precision and patience rather than banzai all around the track to get fast time.

The only downside, as uve noted is the similarity of strategy and would count the guessing game out - which can be good...but only for the first few races i wold presume. When we are already into the 4th or 5th rounds, we would know the ability of the car in races and can make a guess on the strategy of ur rival.

Great feedback.....more please...
*
2x tires is fine, the problem occurs when fuel is 2x, hence the above scenarios.

maybe we should try 2x fuel & 3x tire wear.
fuh....kerete aku siap dulu....hehehehe

3x wear is okay for me, but it would be like Gran Turismo scenarios where after 5 laps or less you will have car that would feel like icey and starts to slide. My only concern with this rule is we stop promoting on track action and since the car is not that easy i feel that racers will end up on the wall (particularly street track) or spun, and races will not be exciting anymore. To promote track action we need cars that is good to drive and predictable too. I'm afraid if we penalized grip too much for the sake of jumbling up, I fear the we will not simulate the true experience of Champ Car racing which is aggressiveness of its battle.

My setup at Fuji will only last 10 laps, that is 15 mins. So in the course of 60 mins we will have 3 or maybe 4 stops depending on the action. If we choose normal fuel load then some guys might be able to do 2 or 3 stops on blacks which is the harder compound.

Btw, Madnoren it's your call and I'm okay. I'm just trying contribute my findings to have great competitive action season. To me let them drive the cars and let them not worry too mcuh about nursing. Nursing is for the expert like you and mara. I dont wanna have people struggling too much with this car become frustrated and leave the league becos the fun factor has been taken away. Because this car when it snaps, there is little you can do. It's unlike a F1 car where you can induce oversteer into corner quite easily and get away with it all the time.

Or if we want to give the black good chances of winning, we can increase the length or duration of the race by say maybe 10 mins more. That way the red tyres and blacks will be more balance.

So I think, at this junction I think maybe 2x wear and normal fuel would resolve this issues. I think la but I'm not to say the final judgment since the rights is the organizer.

I'm trying to speak for the rest of MSR as a community and a senior member. Guys if you think I'm wrong pls shoot me... Dont leave it at this if you have something to say.

Dont worry PC, your opinion is true, the 2x fuel & 3x tire will give some hard time or challenging to the top 6 fast driver but at the same time, newcomer will face some difficulty and can end up the race with DNF, which we all dont want it to happen (unless they think doing 50laps of practise is enough which i think is not enough for beginner). While the server is running different track everyday, i encourage the beginner to take advantage do the practise together with the senior and get the rite setup for each track.

I have discuss with the Admins and we will do the test race as follows:

Test Race No 1 = 2x fuel & 3x tire wear

Test Race No 2 = 1x fuel & 2x tire wear

After the test race, let the community decide which one they prefer, i think its fair .
hahahaha....
*
Thanks boss. Yes let them decides, later they cant complain anymore. And pls test it guys, Boss has given the chance.
