Estee, any idea why internet connections have been unstable maybe the past week. Usually you guys host, I will have 3 bar. When i host, you guys will have 3 bars. Any thoughts?

When I did testing for my line, it seems to be okay. I still get my designated download speed, although my ping is now more than 100ms.

Yesterday we EVIL had a fantastic match We manage to hold the opponenet's assault even though we had bad ping...... Especially for the last 3 matches (Because they host). We lost 2, but we gave a fierce resistance and I think all of our clan members displayed a winning attitude. At the end, we managed to hold them with a draw in the last match. For the first 3 matches that we host...... we won all of them (obviously, duhhh ). They dont stand a chance . Heeheehee.

Well done, EVIL Lets us embrace ourselves for the future match! EVIL RAWCKS!!!

Malam tadi was my last game for BITES Cup bulan ni.

Daddy & Umi tak agree kita tido lambat, because game start jam 10:30pm ke atas dan satu game main sampai 1 jam lebih.

Saya hanya boleh main malam hanya pada hari Jumaat, Sabtu dan Ahad sahaja. Malam lain, saya kena study dan tido awal.

Tapi saya masih lagi clan EVIL!

Sorry bro, im not sure my connection have problem or after i upgrade to 2.41 version has problem. I play middle of the game, suddely "connection disconnected" even though i still can surf internet on my laptop. Anyway, this is my first time play tournament. im not sure which team to choose. dont even know which map to use.

sorry again, im not well prepared for the tournament last nite. sorry.

Report for Last night match:
1st mach TDM we kind of win the game, but thx to firas that join VGI team, so we 5vs7. After the match VGI reguest for Rematch, so... the win are not recorded. the rematch we lose.

2nd match DOM, We win...everything seems to go well.

3rd match SND, we lose, all the sudden, uk got PSN problem, firas out and ply MGO = = leave us 4 ppl. But we still manage to hold it without getting 0 ^^ Me and HaveNoFear are not the hidding type....so usually we both die 1st. Nitin panaiz is doing great.

4th match, they said they wan to host back. So....they host the 4th match. We lose this round too. Ping is not good, specially aYUSmi. By this match, our team are now 6 ppl.

5th match SND. We lose too this match.

last match DOM. While the game is on, all the sudden VGI members are all kicked out and left only the host, our player as usual. Rematch again and lose.

So....make it 5-1

Just a suggestion, why not just have TDM tournament? Other games like S&D and DOM requires a lot more team work, tactical approach and practice which can be too much of a commitment for most working adult. Why not organise a TDM Battle Of The Clans that any regular CoD4 player can just jump right in? Afterall, you guys can set the rules, right?

Maybe Daddy_Estee or Papa_Piggy can make this happen?

Bubble Q sorry to hear your disconnection and other problems. I will be finetuning the rules in regards of restarting the match and also in regards to disconnections. Thanks for the feedback, we are continously improving the rules as we go along.

Let's hope the connections will be ökie for next week. I heard from VGI that indonesia's connection have been unstable also.

Added on July 9, 2008, 7:07 pmIn regards of holding tdm matches only. If I do that, I would probably face objections from the teams we have currently in the cup.

Reason why we are holding different modes:

1. Each country likes a particular mode, Singapore HQ, Malaysia TDM, Australia Hardcore search and destroy. (I'm trying to bring in the aussies for the next tourney). If I restrict to only tdm, there's likely hood that some teams from the region
will not join. Imagine we insist on holding HQ (singapores fav mode) for 6 maps per team, and you have 10 teams to play with, its a bit overkill for me hee hee., Holding different modes will also attract the region teams and allows everyone to play against the best in whatever speciality mode they are at.

2. Holding different modes actually evens the playing field. Different modes require different strategies. If you see last months league, results have been very close, which means more excitement for everyone! Evil did very well in last months league (got third in the league), considering they were also playing modes other than tdm. They even placed higher than teams who have been playing mixed modes since Mar 2008 this year!

3. Having different modes raises the competive gaming scene. If there is any competition in the region, whatever the maps and mode, all of us will have no problems playing since we are pretty versatile and familiar with modes and. maps and we have played the best teams in whatever mode they specialise in!

Sorry for being long winded here, thought that I should share my thoughts on this issue hee hee

Hope you guys give support for our league or cup. Às we want to bring all the regional clans together and play!

PS, I will be looking at combining a weekday and weekend competition as so I can have more teams from Malaysia the next time round. So next time round, the working adults and the schoolchildren gets to play! Will keep you posted hee hee
