Convenient place for sure expensive wan..Even budget hotels closer to MRT or places of Interest is not budget for m'sian. Min also >RM240/room.

If you want cheaper option but not really near to MRT esp those hotels surrounding geylang, Min also ~ RMS$65/nite (RM150/nite)..Walking distance ~ 1km to closest MRT. - Look for Hotel81, Fragrant hotel group

Next those B&B ~ Little India opposite Sim Lim - Yeah those very convenient - ~ S$30/nite but PER PAX.

For sure you can see those activities esp at nite-lah..not only pros but Ah kua too. Very common.. I even brought my daughter & 3 of us also stay at Hotel81. no problem at all. You will be suprise how clean is those budget hotel in SG..much cleaner than a 3 star rated hotel in m'sia!

From Lrg 10, the walking distance to Kallang Mrt on the North west is about 950M away. Well no problem walking there but on the way back after all shopping trip, you hardly hv the nergy to walk 1km back to the hiotel haha - this is true fact. Anyway, there is bus station nearby.. probably a bus trip back is much better than walking.

In Little India, there are lotsa those backpacking hostel (not hotel).. normally they will advertised at S$25, S$30 per pax..well, you will share the beds wth other travelers..watch out your wallet & belongings lor..I read lotsa petty theft among those foreign cheapo travelers..

If little India there are 2 Hotel 81 i.e Dickson & Rochor. Rochor one better becaus just opposite Sim Lim square and closer to MRT stations (Both Bugis junction & Little India). Not to mention just stone throw away from Bugis junction/ nite market

However. it's expensive. min US$75 / S$90 & above from what I checked. if in Geylang, avg ~ US$35 only

Well, Those Northern states residents no need passport entering Southern Thailand for sure haha..Just register at border and get special temporary permit.

This is one of the nicest treatment by Thai Authority to northern M'sian. You dun see this by SG Authority. Even years ago, we can enter SG using restricted passport..Now they even take away this priviledges..

The cheapest Hotel81, fragrant all located in Geylang and atleast 800M away to the nearest MRT.

Price wise ~ S$60/nite off peak.. Daily expenses in Singapore excluding hotel...depending on you. food ~ S$3/pax/meal.. Nothing to buy there bcos mostly > M'sia...so just budget for food & transport

Depending on hotel. Anyway, if you're on budget, you most probably staying in one of the budget hotels such as Hotel81 or fragrant hotels.. FYI, those hotel rooms are tiny similar to Genting 1st world..So even they allowed more than 2 which I did (3 of us in Hotel81 -Palace in Geylang)..but the room really so tiny and just enough for 2. 3 of us hv to share one tiny queen size bed which already covered almost the whole room and so difficult to put luggages. biggrin.gif

Is Singapore strict on their max no of patronage in a hotel room policy? Aiming to go there in 4 pax but could not find one that could accomodate 4 person in 1 room (preferbly). Could we just rent a hotel room that says for 2 person and go in a pax of 4?

Try any other surrounding area but only those in geylang is cheap. Elsewhere almost double the price
Problem with those hotels in geylang is bait ar from both mrt there. Either way ~ 600 to 800m of walking

Hotel81 Palace is the cheapest and full of prostitute right outside the gate but the room is clean although tiny. So if I gave this cheapest of all hotel81 as better than most 3 star hotel interm of cleaniness.. you surely expect other hotel81 will look like haha

If you book early, sometime, Asiarooms/Agoda do give discount but getting rare liao..Last time, they even offer Hotel81 at Geylang for US$30 or ~ RM90 per nite!! But on avg, it's ~ US$40/nite-lah.. The last I check ~ 2009, Hotel 81 Palace walk in rate is S$60 as stated on their front counter desk. Now not sure.

Geylang prostitutes are high-class civilised typelah + wth license wan not like M'sian old pros biggrin.gif . Anyway lotsa Ah Kua pros there too.

Well, at the moment i have no preference to where to stay. Any recommendation for a budget stay? Not looking into fancy, luxury hotel. As long as its clean will do. Besides, ease of transportation will also be a concern as we will most likely be there by bus / airplane. Budget wise, i am trying to minimize it, preferbly anything below RM200 per pax (and going as low as possible), without sacrificing cleanliness and comfortable environment. Any suggestion?
How much are those hotels cost anyway for 2? I'm going in a pax of 4 actually and hearing what you say, definitely seem like a bad idea tongue.gif Besides, as I have not been near SG in a long time, i have heard alot (bad stuff) about Geylang and i am concern about the environment (and safety) over there. Are they good? And how about the transportation there? Thanks.

let's say if by miracle, managed to slip through to spore, if wanna enter malaysia balik, we still have to get our passports checked also at CIQ right?
or they don't care if we only enter malaysia balik???( question for  blacklisted people who are forbidden to leave malaysia)
