Tainio seals Black Cats move
QUOTE
Sunderland have completed the signing of Teemu Tainio from Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee.

The Finland midfielder has agreed a three-year contract at the Stadium of Light and is one of four Spurs players Roy Keane is hoping to sign.

Black Cats boss Keane is confident that Tainio will prove to be an astute addition to his squad for the coming season.

"I'm delighted to sign a player of Teemu's experience and quality," Keane told the club's official website. "He'll be a valuable addition to our squad.

"Teemu has showed versatility, playing in different midfield positions for both Tottenham and his previous club Auxerre.

"But his experience, in particular, and the fact he has played more than 40 international games shows he has a lot to offer Sunderland."

Tainio joined Spurs from Auxerre in 2005 and made 83 appearances during his time at White Hart Lane.

Pascal Chimbonda is also close to joining Sunderland, while Keane is also aiming to bring in Steed Malbranque and Younes Kaboul.

Reyes snubs Magpies - reports
QUOTE
Atletico Madrid winger Jose Antonio Reyes has refused to confirm reports that he has turned down a move to Newcastle United in favour of a switch to Monaco.

Reyes has been linked with a summer move away from Atletico despite only signing at Vicente Calderon from Arsenal last July.

Newcastle were believed to be lining up an offer for the 24-year-old, and reports emanating from Spain have suggested Reyes has rejected personal terms.

It is claimed he is now in advanced talks with Ligue 1 club Monaco after Atletico accepted a bid worth €7million (£5.5million).

Reyes said: "I am calm. My agent is dealing with the matter."

but back on Berbatov, I wouldn't be suprised if he stayed at Spurs now what with Fergie and Levy at loggerheads and Milan might have done there transfers with Flamini, Ronaldinho, Zambrotta etc.

Muntari seals Inter switch
QUOTE
Sulley Muntari has completed his move to Inter Milan from Portsmouth and has signed a four-year deal with the Italian champions.

The Ghana international established himself as a key member of Harry Redknapp's side following his £7million move from Udinese last summer and helped the Fratton Park side lift the FA Cup in May.

Muntari emerged as a target of new Inter boss Jose Mourinho last week and has now sealed his return to Serie A for an undisclosed fee.

His arrival looks to have ended Mourinho's interest in Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard this summer, with the club insisting that there will be no more new arrivals before the transfer window closes.

Painful

Lampard, who has one year remaining on his current Stamford Bridge contract, had been strongly linked with a move to the Giuseppe Meazza, but the Blues rebuffed all offers for the England international.

Inter director Gabriele Oriali said: "Muntari is the last buy.

"Now we will work on trimming the squad because Mourinho wants 22 players and three goalkeepers. There will be some painful goodbyes."

I'm not so sure about his personal behavior but he is a good player i must say. I still wonder will he be still playing in BPL or other League next season. We will see..
