can i know more about the major in illustration, any past experience senior ? thank you
is it true that all toa's student dont have at least 2 hour sleepy time?

Wow, this thread has been left alone for quite some time, time for some dusting and questions!

Pardon me but I have one question regarding the modules and the batch in relation to the time of intake.

I am about to enroll in TOA for the January intake, and recently I had a friend who told me that the April batch would later join up with the January batch. According to him, the earlier batch would actually go through a slow-pace of lessons in the first few months before the April intake in order for the later batch (April) to catch up with them. Are these two batch connected from the two intakes? As in they are all belonging to the same batch?

I didn't receive any info from the counsellor on this issue. I really need to clear my head about this, as I'm kind of regretting that I joined an earlier intake instead of a later intake.

I hope I don't confuse any of you guys at TOA. Thanks in advance

err..this few batches they really change a lot..until we also confuse about the new system they made..u better go ask first..=) if u wan to join late, u still can defer ur sem.

how is the multimedia design courses in TOA? Any seniors there/ graduated students can give some comments or reviews here?

me..but still in year 2 sem 2..well..u will learn a lot throughout the course i can say..but provided u willing and able to cope with the super hectic life.

I'm also planning to enroll in the Multimedia Design, can anyone tell me what did you guys learn there during foundation year and during the Multimedia Design course? I saw the student artworks from toa site and the foundation year is all hand-drawn artworks only.

Also, I heard from a friend that says TOA is currently lacking lecturers, is that true?

what do you meant by "super hectic life"? I don't really get it.. too much homeworks and assignments...? And how many hours do you spend on sleep everyday?

If you are interested in what you do , sometimes you forget about the time , you just kept doing.

yes too many assignments and projects..in toa, basically there're around 6 subs per week..and you WONT EVER have a day that do not have assignment..unless there's really a very very special reason.

so now actually most of us sleep for MAXIMUM 5 or 6 hours. but if uhave afternoon class definitely u can sleep more than that. minimum iver experience is 2 hours in 2days..but there''re friends of mine in animation major, their record is 2days wihtout sleep..and atleast im better coz can sleep 2hours..lol..

wow... so this is the hectic life you mean... having so less sleep is bad for health.. so designers/animators/students who are studying in art n design college are all having a bad and unhealthy life style? This really upset me...

well its really hectic..and yeah definitely it harms our health indirectly..but then still depends on ur working speed..if u are a person that can work super fast and produce a good piece, then u sleeep earlier than us..on the other hand if u are the majority, do things slowly so that it reaches ur expectation, then u will definitely rest lesser..

which means u cant slack a lot..bcoz = wasting time = bring trouble to ur own self.

ok,not to pin pointing other college ya..it not only depends on individual but college as well..not sure about other college mayb u can ask students there? coz last time i was in LKW, i was very chillax..kinda relaxing compared to TOA..

and you are a student graduated from LKW? how was LKW uni compared to TOA?

good if u a person that work slow to make sure ur artwork up to expectation..then u will drop to the majority that sleep late..HAHA.

nope i only study one sem there..cannot tahan..haha hows it? i already said it a lot of times in others thread..not gonna repeat again..lol..two words : NOT RECOMMENDED =)

Hey, I just started my third year specializing in animation, and tbh it's been a blast so far. The workload might be a bit harsh, but once you get used to it, it isn't a big problem. Important thing is to discipline yourself, never do last minute work!
