I was wondering about the earlier topic you guys have discussed about...
Could anyone confirm about the animation course there, and what is the degree of specialisation in area of animation(of the course)? I'm just having some problem with my family, as my brother and I are planning to take up the same course after we graduate this year. So, I just hope you guys could clarify this so that I can convince my dad as well. |

And what's the benefit by going for foundation > degree / diploma > degree? No such thing as not being 'intelligent enough'. You're still too young to feel that way. If you already thinking that way, you're just handicapping yourself for the future. Please Help Me Out My secondary school results were only so so. But luckily I have good parents and friends to motivate me to do better. And I managed to win a couple of awards during my degree years in Australia. Then as a multimedia designer, I've worked on projects for MSN Malaysia & Singapore, Mandarin Oriental, United Nations, Hong Leong, etc. Don't keep opting for the easy way, challenge yourself so that you'll improve. One piece of advice I learned when I was doing internship in college: If you got the chance to study, go for it. Knowledge and experience are one of the few things that no one can ever take away from you. This post has been edited by SweetPuff: Feb 1 2011, 11:22 PM |

QUOTE(Xiven @ Feb 2 2011, 02:32 PM) I think you've misunderstand on the 'degree' part! So sorry on my behalf for not clarifying it in more detail Actually, I was meaning to ask about the intensity of the scope of course, like how deep are they going to dive into the subject, and the diversity of the area of study they are to cover in that course This post has been edited by LZ Zach: Feb 2 2011, 09:53 PM |

The moment I saw degree I thought you were just talking about their degree programme. =xActually, I was meaning to ask about the intensity of the scope of course, like how deep are they going to dive into the subject, and the diversity of the area of study they are to cover in that course The intensity I would say it really depends how much you want to absorb. TOA just gives you the basics and guides you through. At least that was when I was still studying in TOA. Plus, mine was pretty rojak also, they teach everything, lol. Atm, they have divided Digital animation into 3 subs; animation, modeling and special effects. Not sure how advance they are now la though. I think the best way to know how intense their course will be is to go to TOA and request for their course syllabus. |
