that class you're taking..i think its boring as hell and useless. it's like high school english all over again.

ANYWAY.

some cons would be all that horning and how they're just not...proper classrooms.

Foundations were 2 Semesters(1st and 2nd) only but I am not sure about now(currently, I'm in 3rd year already, the new syllabus might not be same), except the Interior Design(which TOA sucks at it).

All students have Semester Break except DG Students.

By the way, you guys should be happy because you're still in Foundation Stages as the stuffs you all were doing are quite simple already.
When majoring, for DG and MM, it would be hard. Then, to IL and AD. The easiest, ID(interior design).

I like the phrase that you PUT EFFORT you CAN DO IT. It almost applies on everything(but not all, for those who's new, you will encounter this rule won't apply to everything later probably).
*
shh i'm an ID student!

i've been learning a lot, except for the interior history 1 and language and communication skills 1 classes. it sucks how my schedule is fixed. the lecturer recommended me to a more advanced class, but the counselors said i couldn't change ):

eric leong is awesomeeeee.

yall should go to his talk at klcc on saturday!

QUOTE(DarkSilver @ Sep 30 2010, 10:34 PM)
Did you ever compare what assignments and classes ID students did compared to other Majors.
Also, did you ever compare the works quality between ID and other Majors?

My housemate was Top Student for ID08X(he got awarded too, I don't want to mention details about him due to privacy), he's so sad for the class most of the time.
When he's comparing his works to his classmates and seniors. He said he's like so STRONG.
But, then, he compared with other majors, he found out something not right. He always compare my 3D and his 3D together.
Obviously, mine was better. He admitted that but I said I am not better than my classmates. LOL. He's the TOP STUDENT for the ID class but he loses to a normal quality student of DG(like me).
This directly means ID in TOA is not as good as it mentioned to be.
Why?
1.) Low benchmarking(directly make student get good result but lame works)
2.) Lack of classes(students lack of practices)
3.) Lack of good lecturers except Eric Leong(my housemate said that the lecturer also don't know much of the technical for Autodesk 3ds Max)
*
no, i haven't bothered to compare between other majors, but i have seen some works from the other classes, and they really aren't that impressive.

our assignments can be just as time consuming as yours if we put enough effort into it. i've been hella busy, because i've been working my ass off on my projects and starting them right away, whereas the others are taking their time making the most simple and forgettable works. i know there are a lot of people in my class that are there just because they like to draw, and that's just not good enough.

i just don't appreciate you talking down on ID like this. we concentrate on different things, like lines compared to stereoscopy. i had extremely high expectations coming here, but i'm happy excelling on my own anyway. i think jason toh is a great lecturer too.

i'm suspecting that i'll be failing out of my interior visual 1 class due to absences haha..i need to talk to my lecturer about this :/

hey guys,

i was recommended by two lecturers to transfer to raffles instead, because it would be more suitable for me. have you heard anything about this place? i'll try to check out this college in the weekend. i don't want to have to retake the same courses again, so if i'm going to make any decisions, it's going to be now.
