Just want to know how can this voltage stabilizer and airflow can save up so much fuel ? can you decript more detail on that ??? does it void warranty or not ??
*
the air flow can maximize the air intake to your EFI n engine for more efficient burning.more air into ur engine always the better.so its will make your car more power.then u not need to press so much on the pedal.ofcoz if u keep rev ur car then u only gain more power from tat n not fuel saving.
the voltage stabilizer is for stabilize your car electric supply.as it always will be not enuf electric when the a/c is switch on n when u need to rev ur car suddenly(overtake).this stabilizer give u a better respond when u overtake.becoz its stabilize your car electric component even the plug burning system oso.
if u wan the maximum effect from the voltage stabilizer u need to install a set of ground wire.then i'm sure u can felt the different.
(1)head light more bright
(2)better burning system=better respond,fuel saving
(3)better sound quality(radio sound system)
(4)durability of battery extend
i had installed ground wire, voltage stabilizer,k&n air filter, airflow device at my kelisa(2nd car)my kelisa's battery(water based) can last for 4 years n i still using its now.my kelisa oso got 1 set of sound system like amp n woofer.....but its batery still in gd condition.
i didnt install ground wire in my persona becoz now no budget.hehe.need to upgrade it 1 by 1.

All,

What's engine oil you people prefer if you don't mind to spend a little bit more?

Petronas full syntium1000 15w-50 is good enough for hot climate, and high revv constantly at highway..let's say keeping revvv at 4500rpm, 160kmh all the way.

But i seldom use persona for highway driving..most is penang town driving which is sudden stop n go situation...i am thinking of 0w-30 engine oil or 5w-40, thinner oil that makes the engine lighter. any recommendation...??

I A Owner M-Line Auto (Metal Grey)
My Exprience : -
1)1st Time Getting this car, my FC are 9.0L/100KM, but after 1st service
its increase slowly up to 9.7L/100KM. After a few month (2 Month) im run twice in month
from Shah Alam to Kedah back to hometown its decrease slowly time by time to 8.4L/100km till now.
But what i read almost all persona user in this section get 6-7L/100KM.
Now going for 2nd service after 10k KM

2)My full tank can go up to 450++ from Shah Alam to Kedah Via Highway
.U know banyak bukit in hiway & grik (perak). So, more consumption to pick-up the hills.
i Havent try to fill up full tank for normal use can go up to how many km's.
I think in hiway, its save a bit petrol.

3)I just read all the pages, most of the Persona user have wind noise, so its normal for this car.
I can hear a wind noise from 90km/h++++

4)IAMF - How to check? From what i know (From Salesman), 2008 batch are The Background Colour of Proton Logo
are in Black Colour, 2007 are In Green. Any picture for the different? Noob here

5)I just feel the pick-up are not so good, but top speed is good, but can't tahan the wind noise sound
when drive from 120km/h+++++ .

0-30 is too thick for persona,it can't protect your engine when u in high speed or rev your engine.if can find 0-40 or 0-50 is great.0-30 is for 1000cc like kelisa.

ground wire - depends, got 5 point, 7 point.. diff price..

voltage stabilizer - cheap brand, rm60. expensive brand - more than rm150..

k&n air filter - roughly around rm200+..

airflow device - no idea...

these things is juz an add on, so it wont void ur warranty, no worries biggrin.gif

or if u scared bout warranty, while go for a service or checkup, juz take out all the stuff tongue.gif

The bigger the number the thicker the oil at operating temperature right?..so if i used 0-30, it is not recommend for long highway cruising at high rev..
So your recommend is 0-40 or 0-50w..wait..i go to spareparts shop and check it out next week..i think i saw 0-40w full syn engine oill smile.gif

Kancil/k-cars using 10-30 if i'm not mistaken.

FYI.. bigger number more viscous the oil.
like 20-50w more viscous than 10-40w,
0-40w its ok for highspeed

most of old cars using 20-50w

the cheapest price i had found:

(1)ground wire=rm74,4 point(include installation fees)
(2)voltage stabilizer rm45,Zmax brand
(3)k&n air filter(if gen2 is rm320),can be wash n re-use.(wash every 50k km)
(4)airflow device rm50

wont void warranty.the air filter is expansive coz its a product from u.s n branded.100% will let u felt the different on it.
