Hi guy, my persona is manual. Yesterday when I stop my car at traffic light and try to shift to first gear you know what was happen to my gear box. I cannot shift to first gear, so I try to shift to others but I found that I just can shift to third and five gear only damn crazy. I try very hard the gear still cannot shift to first. So I try to use third gear move the car abit so it can shift to first gear and others. I try to drive and shift the gear the problem gone like that. But before that I found that the persona gear is difficult to shift for second gear. Sometime I have to shift the second gear very hard. Is that my gear box already got problem?

Very unusual ....really. Normally gear shd pass or get QC clearance.

Probably your gear Konk already or no tranny lubricant . Or ...did u just obtain L license. Got one lady fren who drove the Auto tranny from day one having problem shifting manual gear of the co car that we passenger was so worry that the gear might just snap****. She claims the gear rosak already wheraes she just forgot she has to step on the clutch to change gear. hey..just kidding but is true.

got another fren (been driving Manual) who got an auto tranny New Saga cant start the car the 1st day at the shopping mall. Cursing up on his new car calling it rubbish. Wanted to call tol truck....but then when I drove there to check on the problem...discover that his auto gear shift to N & not to P. So how is he going to start the car then?? drool.gif
He also curse Proton earlier ..condeming it & making a fuss to the on looker..wondering why his car just taken delivery "rosak" already. So bloody embrasing when I rectify his own human problem. Tol car also arrived after which. Funny..but true.

This also what i did experience before, actually this problem is already a known problem. Is only the SC technician is lazy to do the work coz it need to take out the door panel to check. If you stay near Cheras Perdana, there a SC that might help you. Another ideal u can try, open the driver side door and close then arm and unarm the alarm. Repeat those step, sure it will happen. Cheers

do like what u said today at CS

the door thinggy has been fixed...(for now) but they say if that thing happend again they will change the whole thing for me...thanks bro

but after riding 15mins...the thing happend again, this time i cannot sabar anymore vmad.gif , so i punch my door onside that lock button so far ok hahaa laugh.gif

I think you should check ur quotation. everything should be stated there... if its not there, then u need to pay lor.
*
I have checked the quotation.

Registration/Transfer Fee: RM300
Road Tax: RM90
HP/Co. ownership claim fee: RM50
Number Plate: RM40
Optional package (I don't know what does it mean): RM560

Already stated that the registration is RM300 and included in the car price which total up is RM50,300. But still, the dealer asked me to pay RM299 more for registration.

Btw I think all of you guys doesn't need to pay extra charge right? Unless if you choose your own number plat.

bacause proton stupidly wanna tiru those european car. They drive on the left side and when those companies built right side driver car they maintain the position of the indicator stick to lower the RnD and production cost. But the stick still easy to use coz there's only one stick in the left side and none on the right side so driver didn't accidentally use the wiper stick.

Yea since the Waja back in the early 2000 the indicator light is on the left, are all Proton cars after which designed like this? I mean yes, no problems getting used to it, just a little problematic when I take my old Saga for a spin once in a while.

But here's some thought for manual drivers.

1. We live in a commonwealth country, thus right hand drive
2. Drivers seat on the right side of the car
3. Controls are designed for right hand use, specifically; the steering wheel and indicator light
4. Therefore the left hand is used controlling the gears. Makes more sense yes?

Even Mitsubishi cars stick the indicator lights to the right. Even Honda, even Toyota. Makes more sense!

I mean well I understand BMW's and Mercedes' (Sorry getting a bit off topic haha rclxub.gif ) are placed on the left side as they're continental vehicles.

Just my two cents!

Yea the thing is Proton Car still on stick. BMW's and Mercs are alright since they're all either auto or tiptronic style.

I still find it funny to have it on a Proton even tho I drive one lol cool2.gif
