No pictures. Water was quite fast so couldnt get many gelamas. I only brought back 2 eatable sized ones and released the smaller ones. Got a big crab too lol but released it.
One thing i dont like is people there bring back whatever they can get even if its a very small fish. How dumb is that.

I think i would be going this weekend. Its either here or under the bridge but the rumah bot are said to be comfortable.

It's hard to get stuff at my place here in Sabah
U ask them, their eyes go big big only and wondering what it is? haha
I mailed to Kepongtackle asking if they can do posting and if they can get me the stuff above.. still no replies

I tried to look for active fishing forum but seems nowadays everyone bit inactive. I thot this season is really good for fishing??

I can actually get them for you if you want but you'll need to pay for the petrol and the postage of course.

TCE Tackles only carry their own product range so Kepong Tackle would have a wider selection. I think prices for the rods and reel you're looking for is pretty standard here(KL) regardless which shop you're purchasing them from.

Normally many will wait for TCE to do their sales where discounts will be given on many items. I got a Ajiking reel few months ago. Looks okay but kinds feels cheapo(easy to spoil) once you're using it.

Hmm, for me i'll mix dedak+softened pellets+tepung gandum+a bit of yeast.
I was asked to try to blend chicken intestines+eggs+dedak+tepung gandum+yeast and leave the mixture overnight but i dont have the courage to do this. biggrin.gif

tried tronoh in ipoh?awesome CnR pay pond. 20mins a fish? they've mekong cat fish up to 14kg , patin up to 12 kg , pacu 6kg , rohu 5kg  drool.gif ,
bandar raya 2kg. nt bad for a kampung place actually just that the charges is abit expensive la coz they charge by hours.

How much do they charge per hour? And the name of the pond?

using chicken intestines will certainly catch fishes.
but is so freaking smelly and yet is polluting the waters.
considered ban from any paypond

i found a place selling ryobi amazon 3000vi rm 135 only.
batang kali, which is actually my wife's hometown
kepong tackles price range, product range is da best.among any tackles shop in kl

btw,im organizing a fish trip to bung sam ran along with my mates
u guys interested?

Price per person? Date?

The patins at Gunung Lang, Ipoh are bigger and much much heavier.
Too bad fishing is prohibited.

30LBS is too thin even for braided.
use 50LBS at least.

Just get Power Pro. Its quite reasonable and has good performance given that you take good care of it.

In my opinion, if you take care of the braid well, it'll serve you good.
i.e; rinsing the line with water after each time you fish especially after exposed to saltwater.
