QUOTE(Synthesia @ Jun 2 2008, 03:20 AM) Hmm....903sh, is it possible to buy a new cover?? hahaha not planning to get any 905 model , lol. Actually i was interested in 920sh, but a friend reccommended the 903sh, and i was shocked to see that, 903sh is the phone that suits my criteria. It's really sleek and i love it's design. Btw, is the interface -user friendly? its possible in ebay uk http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-Sharp-903-90...Q2em118Q2el1247http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Genuine-Sharp-903-90...VQQcmdZViewItembut 903sh is thicker than your n80 if its ok with you? its changable if you are not afraid to take apart a phone This post has been edited by awong: Jun 2 2008, 04:34 PM

QUOTE(Synthesia @ Jun 2 2008, 03:33 AM) Yep i have a BIG palm, it should suit me. Well as for the cover thiingy. I don't think i should ever do postage,it's very dangerous. Anyone who has info on where to buy a replacement cover for 903sh do tell. Everyone out there are selling either red/white =( well it seems the best places to find covers are either taiwan, uk or mainland china. I know people who bought off that seller and didnt have issues with the cover recieved. they have black too. changing the 903sh cover is tedious at first and many things can go wrong, really need to do it slowly and carefully the first time. I can take it apart now without issues, but the first time I made many errors, forgetting the microphones, the antenna, got a stripped screw.

QUOTE(Synthesia @ Jun 2 2008, 03:42 AM) naa still prefer 903 series =D hhaa Well, as for the cover , by the way you say it, it looks like you changed yours before right? lol. You bought yours from the web u just gave out? i bought from another seller, if that seller had the cover I would have bought from them. The one i got was missing so many little pieces I had to reuse a lot of my old stuff. I asked the seller of the one i posted and they said it comes with all the covers, like the earpiece cover, and the voda logo and screw covers.

QUOTE(hibiki0104 @ Jun 3 2008, 01:50 AM) how did the hinge effects the phone? my phone always restart also.. but when its in on+8 or on +# , it never restart i am not sure, but according to my friend when he would close the phone it would just reboot. I tried to replicate the issue and never got it. I just replaced the hinge and he uses his 903sh occasionally and hasnt had it reboot. WHen i swapped the hinge, the cable to screen wasnt really tightly on and it looked like it may have made contact that caused the reboot

Can i get some advice regarding the opening and closing of the phone?? Like, what should i not touch, what should i not open and so on. you need a 5 star screwdriver, need to make sure all the little parts are transfered over, etc. some info on it http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php...t=903sh+housinghttp://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php...t=903sh+housing

reprovisoning cant be stopped on japanese firmware, you would need to reflash.
try to learn to use the short cut key and you can access most functions without repro

QUOTE(Synthesia @ Jun 4 2008, 09:54 AM) Hmm, a short question to every 903sh users and every users of jphones with sUpEr soFt-to ringtone. How in the world can you hear your phone ringing when people call you?? It's so soft. get used to it like others, supposedly hk or euro fw are a bit louder, not sure how true. But if you do use mmf you can try to edit to be louder. 904sh fixed the issue

i'm glad i didnt start modifiying my car and kept my car original getting good gas milage that in the USA most people have hummers and huge suv they are driving slow and clogging the roads still. Added on June 4, 2008, 11:54 pmQUOTE(oneeleven @ Jun 4 2008, 07:16 AM) Hi to old Sharp & new frenz, Got back from long trip, including some weeks in Japan. Torturing to see all the keitai candy in every neighbourhood department store, every street corner phone shop..... Was kinda like trying to be celibate, could see, hear, hold, play but not take home... felt like better do something or explode! So just a bit of satisfaction. Bought various plugs, cables, screen protectors at the 99 Yen shop, then the strong urges led me bargain hunting in Akihabara, so ended up spending. The five members of my new collection: [attachmentid=489287] 111 707scII is the usable one idk where to unlock, but you can try hypersim This post has been edited by awong: Jun 4 2008, 11:54 PM

hmm anyone have any input on this issue?
I have a friend with a CID73 703shf and it worked with a hypersim for a while, but he master resetted it and now no hypersim works on it all he gets is insert usim. a vodafone/softbank cancelled sim card works with no problems, but he cannot get it to work with hypersim.
Any ideas? He isnt in airplane mode either. Now he is looking for anyone to do CID73 unlocking b/c of this. IS there anyway to avoid the cid 73 unlocking as its nearly impossible to find someone in north america to do it. (they stopped offering services for it or only do cid73 903)

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Jun 5 2008, 01:33 AM) belapa tu? Synthesia is looking something below 800 neh. I think 705px and 705sh is obtainable at that price or below especially for a decent conditon used set. Plus its the white sets that seem to be worth more than black sets

QUOTE(nubnub75 @ Jun 6 2008, 11:11 PM) i think the americans are just jealous... well considering what americans have gotten yep, gotta thank having different frequencies for having special versions that the rest of the world has. Plus the size complaint I find funny, when so many americans love using blackberries, HTC, and other QWERTY phones that are quite large.

QUOTE(oneeleven @ Jun 7 2008, 02:47 AM) Added on June 7, 2008, 3:57 pmAren't you glad we have our Sharps, etc? Who cares what backward phone technology the Americans have, such as super-simple models for children and elderly with only TWO buttons! Just read their forums and see how jealous they are of our Asian (actually Japanese) toys. Some US teens learning JP language and spending a year abroad there just to experience full keitai service heaven, heheh. 111 hehe its true for north america unless you go to chinatowns, or anywhere asian community here. but i want to try a korean phone next, but they cost double japanese phones and are even harder to get working in the US is doing illegal stuff to get it working
