motorola ming series..?? weird.. here wont even sell.. sweat.gif

never sold in america either, just a lot of imported phone stores bring the ming (and 2nd hands show up are cheap under 200usd), b/c for a phone not brought here, its really popular and by imported stores , the basic nokia and sony ericsson (n73, k800i, etc) local phones in sg, malyasia, etc are rare here unless I go to chinatown nyc then I see w810, w800i, etc everywhere laugh.gif but the RAZR is still very popular, so yeah, its really bad here in the US with phone choice laugh.gif

I think jphone only popular wherever there is huge chinese population like LA, SF and in canada, most ebay postings of jphones come from the same area of the US

i think it's basically the same... correct me if i'm wrong. What i know is that the model is a bit different but both of em still got 5Mpixel and Viera screen.... But if I had to choose i'd choose P905i cuz the front is a bit more stylish IMO, PLUS  there's that RED coloured one.... wub.gif  wub.gif  wub.gif
btw: IT'S MY 100TH POST ANNIVERSARY!!!! YAY!!!!  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

I think there are software differences on the 920p and p905i.

I wonder if the 920p if its the same hardware contains the 850mhz 3g that might work in the US...

vodafone do you know if benny's media unlock sim is based on the hypersim 256? I saw some from yahoo hk auctions using the large chip, and that bearly fits the 920sh with battery cover, had to sandpaper down the chip so it doesnt create a hump

saw your pics of the food in vn, looks good.

btw on the 920s unlock, someone on another forum overseas asked benny about the media unlock and you have to send to sg, and I think the same thing for the inex taiwan one too. I wonder how risky this is being overseas...especially after it has been media unlocked and sent back to the USA with the battery and time that occurs that the repro can happen again...and lock everything out. probably will have to ship it express mail to usa since regular air mail takes nearly 2 weeks

hmm, the tax part can be worked around by saying its worth less in customs and saying its something else like a book or video game. and shipping probably EMS...I'll probably wait and hopefully someone in the US (canada takes just as long as a package from HK!) when they will start offering the services. if not I'll be ready to take the risk, its the locking up in transit that is making me wonder if it would go to waste biggrin.gif

Not sure about the customs in the US but although wrote other things and declare lower values, it still have chance on hold by customs (at least the case in Malaysia here). EMS shipping cost in not cheap also, should cost around US$30 or even higher. You need to pay for sending and return. Shipping alone is already expensive and if includes the unlock fee, it will easily go over US$150 (exclude the tax that might be imposed at the receiver side (unlocker country's customs) [the unlocker definitely will charge you if he got taxed for the package] and also your side when you receive the phone back).

I think it is not really feasible to do it unless there is someone who could do it locally at your country.

half the cost of what my 920sh was...I'll just use it as my fashion phone then hehe and pick up a 2nd hand 905i later on

apparently inex taiwan does offer the unlock for 920sh...170usd including shipping back to me. Shipping to there is around 20usd airmail so nearly 200usd...so much well I'll wait till around sept.

that it seems a lot similar to the athome service tmobile usa offers for users. They can get on wifi and call instead of expensive roaming charges overseas
