Rip Paul. We'll gonna miss you.
Its been so long since I use this name for any account that I register in any forum that I entered. Back then when I was at early college life, I still remember I didnt know anything about car and not interested to know about it. Eventhough I read Initial D, its still doesnt make me interesting about car as Initial D only pressing about driver skill eventhough using old stock car. But when my big bro introduced me to the 1st movie, I starting to became a fan of fast car and dig more about cars. When 2F2F came out, suddenly car mods and fast car trend become a hype. I still remember imitating as Brian when driving my friend's Nissan Sunny back then at college and we used to call that car as GT-R when borrowing from my friend. We all watched 2F2F bunch of times. In the early scene of 2F2F where Brian, Suki and 2 others race at Miami road is my favourite scene so far which also make me loves GT-R and hoping that I would buy a R34 someday eventhough it already become an old model of Skyliner series. However 3 years ago, I gave up on car mod due to financial budget and involves myself with music band. I also reluctant to go to motorshow and hangout with my friends from car club because I slowly began to lost interest in car. But after hearing about Paul's death, it gave me a big shock due to the fact that I admire him and his character, Brian in FnF. So, as a respect to Paul, I'll stop using this account starting tomorrow and create a new account. At the same time, what happened yesterday makes me realize how Brian O'Connor had change me when I in a college. I also may consider involves myself back to cars and pursue back my dream to have a Nissan GT-R Thank you for those memory Paul. We'll gonna miss you a lot. Your post & many other people show shared online how the movie help them feel 'together' or 'belonged' and began to search/research to be a better car guy or tuner or something related to automotive. Some use books or attend seminars to feel inspired. Car cars, are visual people. many can identify themselves via movies (admitted most of car cars read little school books). I have seen some outpouring tributes that because of TF&F, the came out from their jobs as truck drivers & became involved in the car scene, others said the learn the trade better than just a guy in a "fast/sleek car". Fast & furious (movie) maybe just a super over-hyped movie to some, but it was also a yardstick for others. Brian O'Connor (nick) may be laid to rest. for whatever reasons i think you should reconsider keeping it. it may be beacon for you. Paul Walker describe himself as ""outdoorsman, ocean addict, adrenaline junkie ... and I do some acting on the side." Paul Walker did live the-real-street life of The FAST & Furious, and he too was a caring person too outside the film world. |

Wait for the movie "Hours"... it will be released posthumously in Dec in the states. This is not the typical flick of him we're use to seeing.

Hours is probably his last completed movie. Kinda sad that everyone only got to know how great of a guy he is with all the charity work he has been doing after the dies. But then again it isn't such a big surprise. Only after you die do people start to talk about the good deeds you've done (that is if you've done any).
At first I was only sad because FF won't be the same without him. After reading more I think we've lost a great person who uses his celebrity status to help others. This post has been edited by masterelr: Dec 2 2013, 09:29 PM |

QUOTE How Will Paul Walker's Death Affect the Fast & Furious 7 Production? Universal Pictures has not commented on the status of Fast & Furious 7 following the death of Paul Walker, but The Hollywood Reporter has an update. According to the trade, the movie was on hiatus for Thanksgiving when Walker died in the fiery car crash on Saturday. Universal executives and director James Wan held a conference call on Sunday morning to discuss the state of the film, whether rewrites would be necessary and how to proceed in a manner that would be respectful to Walker's death. The movie is facing a delay in production but won't be abandoned. They add that Walker and the rest of the cast and crew had been scheduled to return to Atlanta on Sunday to resume shooting the seventh installment, but those plans are on hold until today or tomorrow at the earliest. THR says Fast & Furious 7 was already on an expedited schedule in order to make the July 11, 2014 release, so any delay in production could impact that release date. A large part of the film had been shot, although in January, Walker and the rest of the production were scheduled to travel to Abu Dhabi to film additional scenes. Universal issued the following statement on Saturday: "All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the FAST AND FURIOUS films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family." |
