But I thought he got detained at Tokyo due to discipline problem and need to stayed by his father side.

It's like watching a supercharged cartoon.It's missing the ensemble family dynamics established from the last 2 movies.Just moving from one set-piece to another that barely holding together with coherent story.Then again you don't watch this for story.
Another thing is missing the setting up of that final action set-piece.Just don't feel the anticipation just moving along to the next over the top scene.
Just a small observation of how the director makes liberal use of bootie shots. Like he was obsessed with it when the opportunity comes.
Overall it's not as good as 5&6.
It's nice to see the tribute montage and pretty sure there will be another 3 to 4 fast movies down the road as Universal is one of the few that does not have bankable comicbook movies on their roster.They might be the one to start videogame movie fad as they are gambling huge bank on Warcraft.

want to share my experience in cinema.
watching ff7 at tgv bukit raja,

mostly are malays, all with members/group.
masuk je panggung wayang the group already start bising2.
ok, now movie start.
shown boobies, ass, kiss all of them huu haa huu haa, jerit jerit.

macam tak pernah tengok.

lesson learned, do not come to cinema with malays majoriti.
no offense.

still, tgv sunway the best.

race wars eh? just like old days..

Yeap, race war at the beginning of the movie. What makes me like this series is that the movie tends to bring in nostalgic stuff/scenes relating to the earlier installments. Eg. this race wars in Furious 7, mentioning of "owe me a 10sec car" in Fast and Furious (impound lot scene), the backyard barbeque at the end of Furious 6, and last but not least, 1327 in Furious 6 as well.

PS: Bandoleros + Dom + Plymouth Road Runner seems to be a perfect combination, dont know why.
