I believe MBB does charge a rate though I've no idea what that is. Citibank charges 1%.
Kindly refer to Post #1 for rate details - those stated has been verified accordingly |

@navilink,
U get 15% discount on books purchased (if it falls under a certain code). U also get 10% rebate off ur CC. Hence, if U purchase the book this coming Sun, ur total discount is 15+10=25% |

@iluvena,
Apologies. Where the Interest Free Period is not applicable, finance charges as per applicable tiered rate per month will be levied on all retail transactions from the date the retail transactions are posted. @vv001,
What is FFL? @tishaban, It's onli applicable to new Plat CC issued in MY so he doesn't qualify Yeah RM25k isn't too difficult to spend when U oredi know what U want to purchase. Too bad I don't think I qualify. Had I known of it earlier I would haf told the folks to get a HSBC Plat and utilise it when they were in Korea except dad is super loyal to UOB *gulp* @Syd G, If ur going on short term notice (departure within the next couple of days), AirAsia is probably NOT cheaper than JetStar. Also, with JetStar flying off KLIA, U get more duty free options *grins* @vin_ann, The fact that U haf a sister in SG makes it all the more worthwhile. I've no relatives I want to visit in SG |

@vv001,
It's tinkerbel and the only free for life with no conditions attached would be Direct Access. @vin_ann, How loyal. HSBC sends U to SG and U give the biz to UOB when ur there @TeraPox, RM280 is not expensive to fly to SG wat *grins* |

@ericpires,
If he represents the bank then it's oK; as in he's a CC salesperson. If he's not dressed in Uniform and can't tell U which bank he's with and all I suggest U don't. |

@mensa,
It is pretty common for banks to increase ur CL. Unfortunately, I've only heard about other people getting an increase in CL; it's never happened to me *sigh* @ericpires, He sure sounds 'knowledgeable' enough but I wouldn't put my application through him unless someone I know did and got their card. Depending on what CC U want, U should be able to bump into their roadshows at malls or shopping complexes. Or, get a friend to give U their agent whom they applied from. |

@zcatz,
I don't understand Y banks just can't increase our existing CL rather than issuing an additional card. Does it not dawn on them that we do not want to be carrying additional weight in our wallets? |

@zcatz,
I actually wonder if it's because of limitations by Visa/MasterCard *shrugs* And I've given up asking for an increase in CL from my primary bank (Citibank). Am going to kick them as my primary bank as soon as I make my reward redemptions |

@mensa,
I currently have RM7.5k cash CL on my Clear MasterCard; I started off with RM5k. I probably could get the bank to convert the existing credit for advance cash + installment plans to get a higher cash credit but I'm fed up with Citibank. I started with them in Y2000 with RM5k CL so it's amazing how little they've increased my CL - I've also been rejected on 2 separate accounts when I requested for a permanent increase in CL and once when I asked for a temporary increase in credit limit to pay for the cost of a surgery! To be fair, Citibank issued me a Clear Visa a year after I obtained the MasterCard; and that gave me additional RM5k credit. |

@TeraPox,
I don't need an increase in CL now *grins* If I didn't need it in the past, Y would I need it now? More so when I also recently obtained a HSBC CC *grins* |

@mensa,
I don't shop a lot but I do make most of my purchases through CC. It's v rare when I don't have sufficient CL. I did however split the purchase of my laptop between the 2 cards cause of insufficient CL *grins* I take pride in being the one-third who pays their CC bills in full each month and that's been the case since I obtained my 1st CC in Y2000 @TeraPox, No. Unlike U, I don't carry so many Platinum CC; platinum coloured cards maybe got @skylancer, Obviously TeraPox had a v bad experience with MBf previously [i dun remember what it was though]. Anyhow, what's the purpose of wanting to apply for that card? U shouldn't keep transferring ur debts from one bank to another; Ur gonna have to pay it off somehow, someday! |

@TeraPox,
It IS true MBf isn't a financial institution - they're merely a Credit & Charge card company And aren't ALL promotions a gimmick? This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jul 4 2008, 05:48 PM |

@TeraPox,
To be fair, HSBC's promotion of the Samsonite luggage bag is also onli applicable to the first 1000 who meets the criteria. As to the SG trip, there's onli like RM30k worth of tickets up [i dunno how many that is] MBf is just 'kiamsiap' that's all @dr2k3, And how is it false advertising? Act, if U do come across a print advertisement that's misleading, U could alwiz lodge a report to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
