@jep,
If U travel a lot via AirAsia then go for the AirAsia one, if U don't and want the petrol rebate then go for the Shell one.

There's no the best, there's only which one that is most appropriate for U.

@jep,
If that is going to benefit U the most then go for that biggrin.gif Like I said, we each have different objectives and needs so onli we know which card is best for ourselves.

@TeraPox,
Exactly. If U can do that, Y can't others?! And if enough people do just that they might reconsider not giving that waiver.

@jep,
Perhaps U could consider the Direct Access MasterCard? That gives U 2% rebate on all petrol purchases + it is free for life.

@TeraPox,
Yes U can call the bank and ask for waiver but on their record, U will still be deemed as late; hence instead of 0 in ur record for that month, U will see a 1 instead (or whatever else code they use).

As far as I'm concerned, that means a 'scratch' in my credit rating and I do not like that ! tongue.gif

@hye,
I believe Visa Infinite is the highest Visa category available hence if U do an apple to apple comparison, this is a category higher than the MasterCard Premier which is offered through HSBC.

@iluvena,
Your credit record with the banks are stored for 1 year if I'm not mistaken.

@dr2k3,
I suppose that is true but 'viewable' records are for a year only, isn't it? At least that is the case according to the CCRIS website [I thought I read about it before somewhere]

@pisang,
Yes that is right. The max rebate on the DA MasterCard for petrol is RM50; which equates to RM2500 worth of petrol.

If Ur using it for personal consumption, RM2500 p/month on petrol should be more than enough.

@arsenal,
Like I pointed out earlier, most people wouldn't utilise up to RM2500 worth of petrol p/month so RM50 max rebate is definitely more than enough.

@TeraPox,
I believe our credit ratings records are updated v frequently. I also believe they're kept updated.

@TeraPox,
If it's something enforced by law, I'm sure they will make it a point to do it biggrin.gif In any case, it makes no difference to me since all my credit card accounts are issued by foreign banks.

I've never dealt with local banks on loans either so... oh wait a minute..... car loan was from EON Bank..... but anyhow, I no longer deal with them biggrin.gif

@vin_ann,
Yeah am sure u'll get ur rebate; it's perhaps easier to tabulate at the end of the bill cycle then for each and every transaction biggrin.gif
