I just plan the purpose of credit card to use on petrol & purchase some computer & electronic stuff only. Normally the computer shop just accept the maybank credit card only.  sweat.gif  Anyone know about the maybank credit card requirement for the application?
*
Maybe this will suit you. It is a Maybank card and it has ties with Petronas. http://www.maybank2u.com.my/consumer/onlin...nas/about.shtml

You can see the requirements to apply when you click "Apply Now". Don't be lazy and do some research b4 posting your questions that are easily available online sweat.gif

@cute_boboi,
I've no idea Y HSBC rejected ur application.  Also, Citibank CS are different from Citibank-related-tele-marketers so if those people are rude, it's got nothing to do with Citibank CS.

For those who want to know minimum requirements, go check it out on the banks' website - it's all there.  It's difficult for us to let u know what the minimum is because different cards have different criterias!
*
Citibank-related-telemarketers are a pain in the @$$. One of them just called me yesterday to offer "protection for your credit balance repayment should anything happen 2u insurance"....then I asked the fellow, did you check whether I have ANY balance to begin with b4 picking up the phone and call sweat.gif Some more dare to ask me why don't want....seriously rclxub.gif

As i know Maybank Credit card is quite hard to apply one! Some more im not qualify because the minimum salary is 2000 / months  cry.gif
*
Hmm....not to be mean or anything, but if you don't fulfill the minimum requirements, sometimes it is better not to apply for one. Because sometimes the bank knows best of our financial capabilities then we know ourselves brows.gif

You can try opting for a debit card if you do not prefer to carry cash around like me tongue.gif

@jeff_ckf,
Yeah those telemarketers are prolly onli given ur name & contact number; nothing else related to ur account so can't quite blame them but I do agree with U.  I used to get a lot of calls from Citibank and I would speak with them because they tell me they're calling from Citibank so I walk out of the meeting and hear them out only to know they're calling me with regards to some other product *sigh*

@jtcs87,
It's not that difficult to get a MBB credit card lah!
*
Yes, Citibank should at least give us some freebies whenever they decide to give our details for such calls tongue.gif

He doesn't have 2k la tinkerbel, how to apply sweat.gif

Not interest with debit card!  whistling.gif Debit card can be pay by installment?  whistling.gif

*
I strongly advise you against getting anything by installment even though it is an interest free plan. Try to save up some money b4 you decide to splurge on the thing you like (gadgets etc) coz it's just not worth the headache (or maybe that's just me hmm.gif )

It's part of Trade Marketing biggrin.gif

And if he doesn't have RM2k then don't go about applying for one until he meets the minimum requirement - otherwise he's going to start collecting debts.  CC isn't supposed to be something glamourous where U flash around for ur friends to see that U haf one tongue.gif
*
You're telling the wrong person tinkerbel sweat.gif He wants to take up something as installment already....

Ok each to his own my man. The thing is this...in my humble opinion, I would only take loans for the following purpose:

1) Education
2) Car (must be 5 years repayment or less)
3) House

May i know is it credit card got annual fees?  whistling.gif

Some cards come free for life (Direct Access), other free for life with certain conditions attached (CIMB and Citibank Choice).

While most cards, especially the classic ones, you can get a free waiver if you use the card frequently

Goodness...all this discussion on being in Kutu scheme while having debts, swiping cards while you can't handle it, and all this mumbo jumbo on financial debt without any fear is really making me pengsan...to all especially the guy who plays kutu, I suggest you stop all this and just focus on clearing your credit card debt.... icon_question.gif
