btw, just now afternoon i got send 1 e mail to UOB bank, asking whether they have any sample letter or form to fill in to terminate CC, it's responsed within 1 hour

it mentioning that, you need to return the card to them else RM25 will be charge.

is it possible for the petrol station to reject our CC to pump petrol?

how come problems come 1 by 1...

Petrol kiosks may stop credit card payments


CONSUMERS may not be able to use credit cards to pay for petrol soon as the Petrol Dealers Association of Malaysia (PDAM) has issued a letter to its members asking them not to accept such cards for the time being, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Association deputy president Datuk Zulkifli Mokti said its 3,500 members would only take cash pending the meeting with the Government on the service charge issue.

He said banks charge 1% service charge on every litre of petrol sold.

“Petrol dealers paid 1.9 sen on every litre as service charge when the petrol price was RM1.90 per litre, and now we have to pay 2.7 sen as the petrol price has been raised to RM2.70 per litre,” he said.

The petrol dealers also would not accept the diesel subsidy card during this period, it reported.

Citibank introduced another rebates card. it's Giant-Citibank Credit Card.
now they have promotions:

On 1st purchase at Giant Malaysia can get 10% rebate

-Apply by/before 15th July'08
-Spend by/before 31st Aug'08

on normal purchases at Giant, can enjoy 2% rebate when shopping at Giant stores in malaysia with no carry-forward balance required and up to 1% rebate when you shop anywehre else.

from what i saw in the newspaper:

*you will get 1 x RM5 Giant Voucher for every RM50 spend on the 1ST PURCHASE (in a single receipt).

Eg. Spend RM149 and get 2 x RM5 vouchers;
Spend RM150 and get 3 x RM5 vouchers.

Maximum voucher rebate amount is RM50 (i.e. 10 x RM5 vouchers)

never bother about the petrol strike.

you dun wan sell petrol, we all can go to find another petrol station which accept CC. haha...

but before the new user apply, they shd have thinks of method of paying.

ya lo... i thinks many existing user who apply another Giant-Citibank card will falls into the trap.

can not enjoy the 10% 1st time purchase, while only can enjoy the normal 2%...

just like previously the Shell card, 5% rebate... only applicable for carry forward balance.

just received my UOB CC bank statement. im entitled for 15% interest.

attached inside got 1 letter which is stated / explained very clearly on the Tiered Interest Rate Structure. now im more under standing. bad news for those who only pay the minimum amount user... no more 20 days interest free period.

and also im selected to enjoy 7 days extension for my due date payment just for this statement period.
haha...

i dun thinks the citibank people will serve you for opening saving account. they seldom encourage people open saving with them.

better get the card 1st, each time payment pay RM2 interbank transaction charges.
