Direct Access can link with my Cimb savings account?
*
Can be linked in a sense that you could use your CIMB saving accoun to pay your DA bill using CIMBClicks.

Today I went to one MBB branch to apply for credit limit increase again!

That lady told me that my MBB Visa with Visa Wave (black colour background) is not Visa classic but it's a Visa Flex card. I was stunted with her claim.

Why she tell u something tat not related to ur request?
*
It is because I was asking other questions which is would I be charged for annual fee if I apply MBB Amex credit card now.

Previously, I rejected MBB Amex the application because they wanted to charge me annual fee as soon as I received the card.

@David83,
MBB Amex Credit Card has a 2 year annual waiver now whilst the MBB Amex Charge card gets 1 year annual waiver.  It is not applicable to the Platinum category.
*
I also asked if there's any ongoing promotion and she said no.

She said that my application will be treated as card add on application and not as new card application.

@David83,
I don't know about that but when I checked @ 1U's Maybankard Centre, I was given the above information.  Obviously the difference is that I'm not an existing Maybank CC holder.

I also know that if U oredi haf 2 MBB CCs and apply for the 3rd, U will get the annual fee waived on the 3rd card.
*
Good point you have raised out. The staff also checked that with the card centre and apparently, my MBB Petronas card doesn't consider as 2nd card since there's no annual fee for life.

Previously I have MBB CC, then I "add-on" MBB Amex CC, they still give me 2 yrs AF waiver. However, I applied at MBB TP fair @MV 2 yrs ago.
*
TP Fair. Guess I try my luck later if there's any TP fair at Penang.

I some how feel CIMB system is cacat cause they cant link all your accounts under one internet user ID. They told me their user ID is unique for each card issued by them. So how I have 2 CIMB internet login. One is for my savings while another is for my credit card. But I still able to view all my accounts info thru any of the login. But if I would like to transfer funds or pay my CC, I need to login to my savings internet login only can do so.
*
OMG ... that is so troublesome. Did you make any complaints?

They claim not to charge for Visa/Master, only Amex. I saw charges in RM too with my MBB cards when buying stuff from some shops in HK. The final charge in my statement was a bit higher, but since it was only about 0.3% higher, I decided not to bother asking further about the extra charges.
*
How come? I read from M2U and this what they claimed:

Conversion for Overseas Transactions
The amount charged to your card will be converted to Ringgit Malaysia on the date the transaction is processed. Therefore, the exchange rate will be based on the rate determined by Visa, MasterCard International or American Express International at such time. The exchange rate may differ from the rate in effect on the date of transaction due to market fluctuations

@David83,
That is for M2U, not for MBB Credit Card.

I believe vin_ann's 1st post mentioned there is an Administrative rate of 0.5% for MBB Credit Cards.

But I got those sentences from credit card section - About Maybank Credit Card.

Emmm ... miss out that one. Still it's not free for life. Our friend is looking for both Syariah Compliant & Free For Life. I'm quite sure such card does not exist - at least not having both features.
*
I found offering from Bank Islam Card-i is quite good even though not Free For Life.

About the annual fee waiver:

Annual Fee waiver for the whole contract, subject to terms & conditions: -
1. Active account means at least one (1) retail transaction, cash or balance transfer per month
2. No default in repayment
