QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 23 2008, 12:22 AM) @Aeon_Clock, Those are known as co-op cards [or something like that] so U can actually get the Sony MBB & Petronas MBB - there's no conflict. It's called co-branding. I believe you can get them too.

QUOTE(SnoWFisH @ Jun 23 2008, 10:26 PM) @tinkerbel if im not mistaken it will offset ur outstanding balance in ur monthly statement as "rebate". well that was how the cimb petronas work i think. i just asked my dad, the rebate appeared as rebate as the last item in the statement. anyway, any penalty for "over paying" DA and HSBC CC? all those sen sen and a few ringgit...hard to pay la...cash deposit machine dont accept coins . No penalty. I always pay more than my outstanding.

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 23 2008, 10:29 PM) @SnoWFisH, No there's no penalty for over paying but there's no benefit either As in, if U don't pay enough U'll be charged interest on the outstanding amount. If U pay too much, U don't earn interest @Shinichi, Hey no worries! I didn't use my DA for nearly 6 months. There's an overpayment of roughly 50 cents in every month statement.

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 23 2008, 10:33 PM) @David83, In that case U oredi caused the bank to rugi more than what they earned from U; postage, printing of statement, etc etc Don't worry. They could earn from others. Their statement is very dull and plain.

I kept my receipts from day 1. Since I have cancelled my HSBC cards, I dumped those HSBC related receipts.

QUOTE(danlhct @ Jun 24 2008, 10:54 PM) Citibank is ridiculous, you must be a full-pay-master for the 12 months consecutively in order to enjoy for the 20 days free interest on retail purchase. Or else the interest will be charged from the posting date. I call HSBC to clarify, in order to be entitled for the 20 days of free interest on retail purchase, you only need to clear your previous month's outstanding balance; as opposed to Citibank 12 months ruling. That is a new ruling from BNM. It'll be implemented by all banks soon starting July 2008.
