Hagen gonna increase loh.... alot of pet food is gonna increase this year, so if you guys see anything cheap or is with a good price now, better stock. Like Prestige I stock up from Pet World event, Rm14.90.... now petshops selling Rm21+.... lucky me.

Very useful information, I think dat one can put at the first thread.

If we combine what we know, the first post will be so full of great information.

moreover when the pee smells + scented shaving smells aiyoo soo bad..
looking at Sazzzhi's list makes me think: do a gp really needs all of them?
when i first bought jimmy, i only bought a cage, a toilet mat to cover the cage's floor, food bowl, water bottle and gp pellets.. a few days later i bought alfalfa hay for him.. until now i only add a hay hanger and a bigger cage after getting a few more gp..

Yeah you can. But better put some shavings cuz shavings absorbs pee faster and beter tha newspaper. blush.gif Actually sometimes shop just wanna untung, so they will tell us things that are not true to make us buy. You're not the first one to kena la. smile.gif That's why we should all research before we get something.

@Sharil: Congrats thread owner! How about putting basic requirement on the first page? Like cage (and cage size), comb, bottle, ceramic bowl, etc etc.

Can also put a list of food that's high in vitamin c for GP nourishment.

@klaze: GPs have an average lifespan of 6 years although the record of oldest GP is 14 years old.

whistling.gif I thought you say they like Hagen?

smile.gif I always buy 2 brands of different GP food. When they seem bored with one, they will eat the other more. sweat.gif I decided to give up waiting for the kaytee premium rainbow and buy the kaytee fortified.

sweat.gif The sound as horrible as my GPs. All ar, got hay and pellets, will make a lot of noice when hear people open the fridge door, open plastic bag or chopping someting.

smile.gif But fresh is better for them. Remember that GPs survived without pellets before they were domesticated. They lived on fresh food. So fresh is better than the commercial food we buy for them (although pellets do help to make them healthy).

i stocked up a kg of hay n 6 kgs of gp food.
i feel so kiasu when i pay the bill. haha!
anyway pet family having an extended sale now so it's worth it to buy. moreover, i think the price there is among the cheapest in town (if + member card, of course).

i'm considering to buy the texel @ pet safari. but today i went there left onli 1 n i dun really like the color either. am hoping that they would have more texels in the future n hopefully, a more reasonable price wink.gif

my gps love hagen + ocean free pellets. but most of the time they eat fresh vege & carrots though.
i've always bought kool bunny hay.
bill is okok la. good thing early of the month so still got $$ wink.gif

the texel i saw was white + brown - maybe it's defined as orange? not sure.
but the maggi mee hair look so cute. hehe!

i thought of breeding my female gp before it reaches 7 month - she's very healthy and pretty so very wasted if don breed. this afternoon i went shopping for a male gp. so sad man... ikano's one all sold off and those at pet family not so attractive cry.gif cant find my baby a handsome hubby

i bath them once in 3 weeks when i can feel their fur a bit sticky or when i see them scratching a lot.
