sad.gif I agree with this statement. It's fine to skimp on the cost if you can still give them wat they need. The food doesn't have to be the best. The housing doesn't have to be the best, etc etc. But they must first know the animal throroughly to know what they can save on and still have healthy pets to sell.

Another thing is that owner tends to leave the selling of animals to people who know nothing about the animals. Then they'll give false information to make people buy because new owners of the pets may not buy the animal if they dunno how to care for it. They'll also get lazy to change shavings, etc when the owner isn't around. This causes the shop to smell really really bad detering more customers.

It's so difficult to ensure the pet's health and still profit unless the owner is knowledgable on the animals he sell and takes care of them himself.

Ya la.... what they think just profit. I know its important but animal life, health important too. Dont they feel guilty if see the animal in bad condition? I dont think so. unsure.gif

They should study first if they really want to do a business, like open other business. Study the market, facilities needed, etc. At the end they make animal suffer from their cruelty. sad.gif

Hahaha... i know I dont have rightful to talk about dis, but just let humanity absorb in our heart especially to those person let animal suffer. grumble.gif

From what I can see in some pet shops where you can SMELL the rodent section to know where it is, NO, they must not feel guilty when they see an animal suffer because they are too lazy. From the way they treat the animal they sell, animals are probably just merchandises like cages and books which you don't need any instructions to take care of. Just wipe off the dust and make the merchandise presentable to sell. If the merchandise doesn't offer too much or they don't know much about it, exxageration and fake information makes it sell.

So at the end of everything, the owner must not only study what's good for the business but also what's good for the animal he is selling. It is also his responsibility to teach his workers how to treat, handle, and care for the animal as well as the business. He also has to make frequent checks on his employees to see that they are doing what they should. Ultimately, when petshop animals suffer and misinformation is given to new owners, it is because workers do not have sufficient knowledge on what they are selling and thus they buff up the details and make it shiny and attractive. smile.gif it is also good to employ animal lovers in a petshop. What better way to get knowledgable and caring employees than those who own them and love them? smile.gif So it's really hard to be a good petshop owner. Employing people who know nothing about animals add on the task of teaching them.

Like anything la she. She hates cameras. Thinks that the camera will eat her or something.

BTW have you guys seen malay pet shop workers who are tasked to take care of dogs before? I think it's cruel and inconsiderate of the dogs and the worker.
