I've been researching bout GP.... and I have another question to answer now... from here.. I know most of GP owner provide bedding or hay right?
Is it okay if just use newspaper at the bottom for their bedding and cover half of it with towel? well... I found this while searching... she use newspaper as bedding and it did looks very neat thou....

that's awesome if your gp is toilet trained..

gp runs a lot, they require large space... after here & there running, the towel or newspaper won't be the same way as the pic from the web..

nice pics are always taken after cage cleaning... so that's why you see it very neat and cool!

btw, the answer should be yes.. you could use newspaper or towel or cloth..

Even i use newspaper also. one level toilet mat another one level newspaper. If use bedding need a lot of it, bedding and hay quite expensive here.

if use newspapers need to change always la... but if one GP the newspaper is still ok in 2 - 3 days.

emm.. missed dis topic so much..
went to a course for 3 days.. cannot access internet there...
and very tired to access at home during the night..

well, from my point of view, it's not so hard to take care of the long furs..
i have 2 shelties and 1 peruvian..
i got my 1st sheltie at the time i'm a newbie in gps keeping..
i don't feel that keeping a sheltie troubling me at all..
and i can admit that they were only hard a bit to take care than my abby..

about the grooming, well as for me, i didn't see the need to comb them daily..
i comb their furs thrice a week..
bath them weekly.. use the hair dryer to dry the furs.. if got some times then i don't use the dryer at all..
i cut the furs at the back to prevent them from tangling (usually these are the only parts that always tangle) and from being dirtied by their poos and pees.. apart from that, all the basic cares are just the same like having an abby or a normal.. sekian terima kasih..

Here we are Muchan. the sheltie keeper.... he knows better than me how to keep sheltie type.

P/s : Muchan dont understand malay language. just bonai can and maybe not .

well... Jack told me all GP in petshack are all boys.. well... I'm looking for female.. since Jamien or someone told me before the male tend to have marking smell and I was thinking... inside my room... so I choose female...
