conclusion: nothing we or they can do...celcom careline will never solve our problem... they are not technical people... unless they put technician or engineer on call than we'll get appropriate answer...

I know but that is our right as consumers, are we going to shut up when we get sickening speed? doh.gif

I must admit my surfing net is quite fast but when it comes to test using speedtest, the download speed will never move. doh.gif

I need a Blackberry + Celcom unlimited plan, but i would like to know more before i get one. can any experts here kindly guide me through? thank you.

my concerns are:

1. what package they have? i only know celcom got unlimited data plan. so only pay RM98 for it? what about the phone, will they give free blackberry or need to buy?

2. i need it to download email anytime i need, i saw my frens are using it to download email, even when travel overseas. can our celcom do the same? i mean download email instantly while overseas?

3. if can download and reply email while overseas, hows the charges look like?

4. which model will you guys propose for blackberry? at the moment celcom sell how many models?

thank you in advance for the explanation. thank you.

I'm going to make this issue as big as possible. They might take my problem for granted, then they are wrong. If in these 5 days the speed has increased gradually, I won't be making any fuss at all. The problem is it didn't, it stays around 60kbps constantly. What the heck are they doing? mad.gif vmad.gif

I complained on yesterday's night around 9pm, they asked me to wait until 12.00 a.m., fine, I waited. Obviously, it has not shown any improvement in that 3 hours, so I called and to make a complaint. And, crap it needs 3 working days to get the report passed to the in-charge people. Yeah, they are off on Saturdays and Sundays. So what now, I've to wait until Wednesday? doh.gif By that time, this problem will be around for more than 1 week. shakehead.gif

The more I see the download speed I get from speedtest, the angrier I am. When I recalled back what the careline fellow told me, it triggers further my anger. mad.gif

RULE NO 1 when calling careline ( care my foot , they only care their gaji tongue.gif )

ASK THEIR NAME, IF BETTER ASK THEIR EMPLOYEE NUMBER
why i said so cause when u ask their number, they knoe tat u knoe their operations and tat they will respect u as a subscriber or tat u are actually their paymaster biggrin.gif

judging fr ur problems , u could hav infinge the 5GB threshold and tat the earlier careline-er din actually chk your status correctly rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

If I did infringe the rule, I'll make them suffer even more. I didn't receive any SMS regarding that, how can they do it without giving me a notice? mad.gif

Luckily I'm not alone over here. I hate Celcom now, I think I'll switch to Digi EDGE soon. Forget about me to upgrade to D98 because it is simply not worth for my loyalty.

remember muimui,

our batch of data sim cannot receive sms, grul sweat.gif

its not worth to use edge cause it only max out at 160kbps, but then again its okay to giv it a try cause in ur place digi MIGHT get a better reception cause digi always CONCENTRATE on uni campus . one more thing is tat i hav a sarawak user which is on EGDE says tat ZTE is very much better than fon connect too thumbup.gif

one way to counter sialcom's in your case is tat , u juz terminate it and subscribe a new sim and u will hav a brand new ac which might be better than the current 1.. but dun terminate d68 so fast la..........go activate a digi data sim first (rm66/mth wif no contract )..........then u terminate sialcom's biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

OK, if in that case how can I be notified if I have infringed the allowed bandwidth? Such an absurd, at least make the SIM card is able to receive SMS-es from them. yawn.gif

I'm going to say goodbye to Celcom already, though it served me well but these few days it makes me totally mad at it. With Celcom people talking bullsh|t, I'm even more disappointed.

Enough for the suffers, unless miracle happens suddenly which I don't think so if it will, it should have happened earlier.

Well digilife might be right, terminate and apply again, there's hope for better speeds. Who knows the new SIM/account might have your usual speeds ? Or is there anyone around your area having this kind of speed ? hmm.gif

all the while we hav been thinking and preaching tat after 9/may all will be fine

well today is the day whereby celcom hav fully carried out the so called upgrades biggrin.gif
it was a successful upgrade as can be seen in fruitie's case BUT this upgrade is to celcom's advantage NOT to us cause celcom successfully throttle users which hav infringed the 5GB usage biggrin.gif
this is wat celcom meant for UPGRADES ( upgrades for them cause their bosses will be happy wif their performance in limiting users usage tongue.gif )
why i said so

lets look at fruitie's case
she says tat she was bt-ing nonstop in her campus condo at bearbear hill and the connection here was damn good
she would hav ady breached the 5GB limition without her knowing and tat her sim like mine and YKL's cannot receive sms.......the earlier batch of data sim can received sms like my first d68 sim ( i am using a second sim cause the first one ady terminated by myself ) so obviously she wont be able to receive tat sms warning. she can actually chk the dialer and she be able to see how much she ady downloaded . juz look at mine, i seldom bt and yet i ady downloaded 3.82 GB on this notebk . my billing cycle starts on the 1st and today is 10th....OMG 10 days ady downloaded abt 5GB, seifoh lor , whole mth will be 15GB la doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif sure kena throttle de cry.gif cry.gif
Attached Image

the above is only on my notebk, wat abt my home pc cause when i am at home i use the desktop to surf and bt, including tat i guess i am very very near tat 5GB magical figure for celcom throttle to work ady, but then again i hav upgraded to D98, they wont do much cause my speed will be limited to only 1Mbps which i now find hard to achieve even without throttling whistling.gif whistling.gif
moreover fruitie can surf quite smooth juz tat bt-ing is slow, so tat confirm my observation

btw my speed today at a HSPDA area on D98
