if u can still mod it, of cos, but i miust also remind you about the risk you are taking..
the current success rate is 30%, quite low for something at that price..and even if u success modding the card, you must underclock it to make it stable, and slowly overclock back to your card limit, every card have different limit, for mine, it's higher then our 'default overlocked speed, but since u do not know the card limit after modding it, better underclock to q low clock rate and slowly increase to limit..

or better take 9800GTS right? i think it just add rm100+- like that.

currently nvidia dropped their gc price to compete with ATi, and yes, 9800GTX is the competitor with 4850, which means their are in about the same line...

BB....i search whole day liao...and i go check the benchmark....but something weird...i saw the benchmark..in same equipment, same hardware but just difference GC....8800GTS better than HD4850 o @@.....

i guess that using old Catalyst driver. HD4850 performances varies in different games, can compete with 9800GTX, 9800GTX+ and in some case, GTX260... but again, only in certain games/benchmarks.

yes, but from what i see, 4870 have like no performance drop in AA until 16x, and i recall seeing 4850 having the same situation until 8x AA or something..
what i am trying to say is, 4-series i really good because their can do AA without sacrifice much performance..
also, if they are comparing Crysis, don bother to read on, because it's an unfair competition..
the game is utilized for nVidia cards, so u get the idea

ya.....but when i search this HD4850 info through google...there are too many different benchmark result..even same card and same Test Application, Crysis not the main game i use to test...i just see overall performance ....

i would say the ratio is almost similiar, just that 8800GTS is consider 1 gen older than HD 4850, thus its performance is not as impressing as 4850 in higher reso
