i think can gua. Anyway I find it weird that the motherboard would play a factor...why should it? Unless there was some configuration of feature of ksking's mobo that allowed him to use his card. A successful flash should work no matter what the mobo is...

maybe it has something to do with the mobo's PCIE lane? david yours is x8 is it?

i think if you can, wait a few more weeks when the 4xxx series launch. Then prices will be dropping left and right. I myself am planning to sell off my 9600GSO if the performance is not what I expect after OC.

kuching, which bios are you talking about? one is the 08M.rom and the other is bios.rom one is it? So success or not?

same problem as the other forumer la is it? he can boot into windows but when he use gpu-z it shows that no gc is present...

probably need to modify the drivers somehow...just a guess la

flashed using bro adliew's Magic Panel 3 / Xtreme Tuner 1.2 software 08M.rom BIOS, successfully booted into Vista Ultimate...hehe.

Rivatuner shows 512mb, unlocked to 128 sp... but i dun have any 3dmark software to test with...so i'm going to go play some games and see if got arti or not...

Bioshock got a bit problem tho...the menu cannot appear but I think it's because last time I modded it to work with DX9 card...now kenot ady. Oh well...

haha...sorry bro. I haven fully tested it yet so I might only have 50% success nia. 3DMark05 almost finish already...pray hard hard.

I using N68S budget AM2 mobo nia. Went into windows, installed 9600GSO, restarted, then used Magic Panel 3 to flash to 08M.rom, restart and in the boot screen it shows 512MB instead of 384 and I know success liao =P

haha...tqtq. No arti whatsoever, feels solid, not a hint of trouble.

Btw I managed to OC to 670/1640/2160 easy...no artifacting with a temp of 81 on load...is this a bit too high?

oh, darn. how to reduce the temps ah? switch in a third party cooler?

tested 3dMark06 today...only managed to score 8577 points after OC.

Strange I compare with results from the LLY site, his card can get SM2.0 score almost 5K while mine manage 3.5K only. My SM3.0 score and his the exact same. Our CPU score difference by about 300 points only. Why ar?

Added on June 5, 2008, 11:15 amya v stable. Played games no problem. GoW only make the temp go up to around 60+ nia. Only when I use ATITool to detect artifact will the card shoot to 80+ degrees. I think can OC even more but I dun wan the card too hot...for now satisfied ady.

Just bummed that my 3dMark score normal nia. I guess my CPU is really bottleneck...Athlon X2 at 2.4GHz only. I got a prob trying to OC my cpu...maybe u guys can help.

hmm...i dunno what is bottlenecking my system...i'm running at 1024x768 which is the max reso my monitor supports.

8577 score is after flash to 8800GTS and then OC to 670/1640/2160, mobo is Palit N68S with x16 PCIE bandwidth...sienz.

haha, my bottleneck is my proc lor...urs 3.2ghz...so fast. lol. i have to figure out how to oc my proc ady

ok...i go back melaka then switch to my 22" monitor then try again.

dunno...i din test. i just flash to 8800GTS terus, haha.

Added on June 5, 2008, 4:48 pmJust now i OC extra 200mhz (2.5 ghz)...my score jump to 97xx. LOL! It's the proc la...sienz. If I can oc more then I happy dy...but my mobo dunno why, adjusting the K8>NB from X5 to X4 doesn't change a thing so now i'm limited by my HTT speed
