I see. Then it must be mainly due to new passport, as there are report old passport no issue get eta very fast.

Update, visa approved in 1 month + 1 day using old passport. Application done thru ETA apps.
Other applications done the same time but yet to receive approval maybe caused by 2nd time applied after 2 weeks. Maybe the processing time was reset. Hopefully it’s not due to this.

Congrats on visa approval. The old passport, travelled to Australia before, ie granted eta prior to this?
What did you send as additional info?.

Yes, passport used many times to Australia.
Additional info as requested such as reason for visiting, bank statement and employment status in Malaysia.

Ive submitted my application on the 7th but extra info on the 10th of april but im flying off 14th. Not sure if its in time xD

Going to be tight, very tight. From what I gather, most that voice their frustration online seems to get their ETA approved in 1 month 1 day. However, mine apply 29/3 till today still no news, ie 5 weeks already.

really have to depends on your luck. since got raya holiday, will delay abit longer. need to expect it to be approved earlier 10th of May

i think no use. I didn't voice my frustration, just wait patiently 1-2 months and got it in between
