I believe after 16/4, we dont need to do pre-covid test to enter Australia , am I right? We just need to fill in the predepature form 2/3 days before depature .

any progress on visa ? my flight is on early June wonder can i make it with the delay on visa

yup. no need. But coming back still have to do. i havent check how much PCR cost in AU 

$80 if done at airport, $120-150 at pathology centres else where.

Close to one month still no news, haha I'm just gonna cancel my flight tonight.

Lucky bought flexi ticket, but funny I change flight to May 1st week I need top up 2.9k... jeez.

If I cancel my flight and rebook is cheaper than I top up.

Helped my parents to apply for ETA (subclass 601) via the AustraliaETA app earlier (mid March 2022). Both my parents are frequent travellers to Australia as we have family members over there. Here's my experience:

My mom applied first, using her newly renewed passport, received an email after 5 minutes requesting for more information/documents to be submitted here - https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/help-suppor...processing-form
Submitted the documents (such as bank statement, passport, IC) as required via that link - Two weeks later until today, still no news.

As for my dad, we applied using his old passport (haven't expire) with history of entering Australia earlier before COVID-19. He got his visa approved 5 minutes upon submitting everything via the AustraliaETA app.

Hence I believe, there's a massive backlog of applications to be assessed from their end. I've seen ppl mentioned that they have applied as early as end Feb 2022/early March 2022 without any news yet. Most who applied with new passport or passport with no prior history of entering Australia will probably have to enter the long processing queue.

For those who have applied, would like to hear your experience on this so we know what to expect.

Anybody got more experience to share regarding ETA. Eg did anybody apply via website and found it faster than via eta app?
Wonder is it eta app problem. It auto scan my passport info, and my whole name is entered in last name, no first name. Could it be this causing problem and requiring ppl to send in additional info.
