I am planning to go at the end of May / early June. Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced self catering apartment in Sydney for 2? The ones I have seen at approximately AUD300 a night.

Thanks so much.

A quick search in booking.com came out with Meriton Serviced Apartments - Bondi Junction and Quest Bondi Junction
Both are below RM600 per night. If not you can try airbnb.com, agoda.com, Expedia.com

Drive from Sydney to Melbourne (coastal road) -- is this gooding? The website seems to say 7 days needed but I'm thinking of only doing it in maybe 3 days (or 4 days max).

I'm planning to cover Sydney & Melbourne only in a ~10 days trip.

It is doable in 3 to 4 days. Just that you would have to drive longer for each day as compared to the 7 days schedule. How many drivers would be driving?

my wife and i - 2 drivers only I guess. given the compressed timeline, is it still worth doing i.e. generally get to see some nice sights visit some nice places?

Hi,

I would like to ask if it is common to book airasia from KUL-SYD and then MELB-KUL and then use maybe Jetstar or Virgin to fly from SYD-MELB?

Should I book them now for travelling in Dec this year? Should I also apply for visa online now?

Thanks

Your choice. If you feel like traveling to many cities, Yes. Book 1 way trip & fly back from another city using either whatever airline you like.

The ETA having short validity. If I'm not mistaken only 3 month or less..and validity start from the day u get the approval. So better plan properly when you want to apply.. If you going to stay longer, better apply closer to the date of departure

RM10k is enough for both including flight ticket

and why would you bring 7 months old baby together? you are not going to enjoy much

I think so too.. got to leave my baby to my mother then.
Let say, if excluding flight ticket and accomodation, AUD$1000 doable for 2 pac for 1 week?

assuming that you not really into foods then one meal can cost you $10(3 meals = $30 so a week will cost you $210x2=$420). day trip with tour probably about $70pp so if 4 days of tour trip could cost you $280pp($560 for two).

that just a rough calculation

Is it neccesary to join the tour trip?

Going to sydney next month. Is it cheaper to rent a car and go around or to take public transport. I'll be spending 5 days there and have booked a hotel nearby zetland. How much does it cost for a car that fits 4 people comfortably? What about fuel and parking?

just walk around CBD? public transport
go somewhere far?rent a car

if you rent it for 2 consecutive days on the weekend and you will get another day free(this promo always available)
it may cost you $50-80 per day including insurance but this is just a small size sedan like hyundai i30

Anyone has experience going to blue mountain? Better to drive, take public transport (train to katoombah and then public bus) , tour coach, hop on hop off bus?
Just for a day trip
