d-tourist,
You cannot simply park your caravan anyway to sleep. You will need to find a caravan park to park it and they will still charge you $30-50/night there anyway.

I am setting off next week for a fortnight so, wondering what clothes to bring last time, some people said 25 degree is like 35 degree so, will it be like that start from next week? and also how is it at night ? will it be very cool? compare to day ? |

QUOTE(leanman @ Nov 17 2008, 04:51 PM) Never. I usually use http://www.weatherzone.com.au for weather forecast. I can't say about Syd but in Melb, hot can be very hot and cold can be very cold. The worse thing is, it can change in minutes. You still need to bring a sweater to Australia even though it's approaching summer. it can be pretty cold at night. |

better to check the weather forecast especially in Melbourne. Totally unpredictable. Make sure you bring at least one jacket as well. Last week went up to 33C and then back down to 19C on the weekend.

I'm in Sydney now, reports said that average 25 degrees C until end of the year. There is more rain expected. The rain here can last for more than a day
and yes the temperature here can fool you. I suggest bring normal or thicker clothes as you can wear double layer or something if its too cold. This post has been edited by young: Nov 18 2008, 06:15 PM |

go to that site to check. nothing is more accurate that the bureau of meteorology's forecasts. they provide up to a week in advance, so you can plan ahead, but do be aware that the further the forecast, the more likely it'll change as the date becomes nearer. |

you might want to pack thicker clothing if you're coming this weekend. there's storm in victoria at the moment - mostly in gippsland but then melbourne slightly affected as well. and don't believe what those weather reports tell you. today is supposed to be of a maximum 16, but it's so hot right now!
melbourne 20 degrees is ok, just like you're in an air con room, but if the wind starts blowing then it gets real cold. |

couchsurfing huh. just checked out the site. interesting idea actually.
so you just go and meet up with people from the site huh. good networking circle. can you elaborate on your great experience? im kinda paranoid. like you know. you excited to meet this person. then find out him/her is really annoying. or something like that. |

QUOTE(god23 @ Nov 14 2008, 06:07 AM) d-tourist, I've not had any experience renting a caravan (it's always been cars), but 2 issues I see:You cannot simply park your caravan anyway to sleep. You will need to find a caravan park to park it and they will still charge you $30-50/night there anyway. 1. Does your driving license qualify you to drive a caravan? 2. Because a caravan is fairly large you can't simply park it anywhere and go to sleep. As mentioned above you normally have to find a caravan park. |
