d-tourist,
You cannot simply park your caravan anyway to sleep. You will need to find a caravan park to park it and they will still charge you $30-50/night there anyway.

I've not had any experience renting a caravan (it's always been cars), but 2 issues I see:

1. Does your driving license qualify you to drive a caravan?
2. Because a caravan is fairly large you can't simply park it anywhere and go to sleep. As mentioned above you normally have to find a caravan park.

Anything else which are:

must drink (good drinks)?

must see/experience?

Titbits / snacks

Many nice ones to buy from the supermarket: Smith's potato chips (various flavours), Arnott's biscuits, Whitaker's Peanut Slab (very nice chocolate). Just walk around a big supermarket and you'll be amazed at all the different foods/snacks available.

If you like sausages buy a kabana (can eat on the spot). Also lots of nice cheeses. Then there are meat pies (I like Herbert Adam's brand).

Lamb kebabs are also excellent (the one in Chadstone's lower food court is good).

Yup, Freddo is well known for its gelati. Another one I found good in the city area is Antica Gelateria Del Corso (Collins St).

If you're in the Lygon area also try out Brunetti for cakes.
