instead of renting a caravan, why don't you consider staying in those caravan parks. They normally have caravans or cabins for rental and the price are quite reasonable. Sure easier than driving with a caravan everywhere you go.

You cannot simply park your caravan anyway to sleep. You will need to find a caravan park to park it and they will still charge you $30-50/night there anyway.

better to check the weather forecast especially in Melbourne. Totally unpredictable. Make sure you bring at least one jacket as well. Last week went up to 33C and then back down to 19C on the weekend.
