Haha, I like the above banner!!!

The 1st June gathering is NOT at Pet Safari, it's at the Petster small animal event. I think it should be taking place at the same area as last time... The little outdoor area between IKEA and IKANO adjoining area... Right Hun?

Okay, since you guys want promotions on that day, I'll try and bring some stuff for promotion(no early booking, first come first serve

)

But the main thing is Hun's Glider Talk yah... Not my promo

Come support her!
We should drag some Pet Safari staffs and force them to listen to Hun's talk!

KP
Yups, it is that small area. It is not LYN glider community official gathering loh.... this is Petster's Event. Hahaha... bring your stuff lah. Since I got no cooler or booth, I can't bring any of my mix.
The time for the whole day event is from 12noon to 7pm. Exact time for the talk I still dunno yet.

my glider bite me alot when its her hyper active period...around 2am~6am
That is normal. Nipping.... is how they show that they feel comfortable and like their favourite tree. It is also a bit like grooming. My gliders do groom me sometimes, very soft nipping. Once they nibble, I know it is the kind of nibbling they do on their favourite trees. Large nips, like a bite but with no wounds is what they would do to get sap from trees.... since they think we are their trees, that is why sometimes we can feel some pain.
Don't encourage nipping and nibbling. When they do it, just move them away by picking them up or push them away from the spot they are nipping.
QUOTE(EvanSoon @ May 16 2008, 01:24 PM)
hmmm.. happens to me at night also.. but he wont go on shoulder n bite.. he will go on my shoulder and scratch my shoulder.. than move to my neck and nib my neck which i cannot see him so cant control.. nib nib nib than BITE~
Your glider wants to find something tasty to eat. They chew and nibble tree bark for tree sap.... that's where the BITE you got come from.

i'll post a video on the toys thing with gliders soon..
it's just that i dont have camera now..
anyone willing to sponsor me a digicam please pm me..
btw, i can't tell 100% anything that would work for any glider..
plus your glider is not bought from me so i don't really know her..
the tips i'm giving is something to try with..
and usually it works, not for my gliders only, but most of the glider in the world.. haha!
LOL... get a cheap 2nd hand digicam loh. Or why not you draw pictures for us hahahah.
There are playful gliders and there are those that don't really care about toys.
Today I found out I can entertain my Keera by just giving her a box of ribbons and cloth. Today Keera went to Pet Shack and had fun just sitting in a basket of collars with bells. And she likes to hide in toilet roll.... then Jack keeps poking her till poo hahahah....
QUOTE(krynzpeaches @ May 16 2008, 03:24 PM)
Yes, nibbling is a sign of affection as in the wild they will nibble their favourite tree

So, in human world, we are their favourite tree

It depends on how you can take it lah, sometimes the nibbles are very light and geli only... Sometimes it is a bit hard and hurtful... So if it hurts, just stop them, tell them "No" or pick them up immediately...
Micah loves to lick my neck, then slowly he will nibble... When I tell him no, he will lick-lick again... Then suddenly "garpp" nibble me back

KP
Kesian lah we become their favourite tree. We kena pee, poo, nip and nibbles hahahah.

my glider now likes to play with my "tali seluar" he will start grabbing and chasing the tali..just like a cat..and its so cute! eheh
QUOTE(sharil_routh @ May 16 2008, 03:33 PM)
Hmm.. maybe dat technique not suitable with my glider.

or... i did the wrong technique.
She's really scare .... always shock when something near to her not like before.
Now I'm slowly calm her back.

Your joey not so playful when it comes to string. Try getting those plastic balls with a bell inside that are usually sold for cats. I think around Rm1 or Rm2 for such thing.
Most gliders are entertained with simble tali or ribbon.... just slowly introduce.
QUOTE(silverwineus @ May 16 2008, 04:03 PM)
Can anyone advice me on this?
Should i opt for the plastic mesh or coated steel wire mesh for my cage?
Will they be able to bite the plastic mesh and escape?
Which better?

Those heavy duty thick plastic mesh is better. The coated wire mesh can rust after a certain period and the plastic coating is very thin and breaks easily. Gliders aren't really chewers, there are odd ones which can chew through a flexarium but the flexarium has a very thin nylon mesh material. Those think plastic mesh is just too thick for a glider to chew.

haha.. here is some updated for my glider...
my male glider finally eat mealworms.... but, he spent like 5 minute juz can finish one single maleworm due to his teeth not yet developed...
here is how i intro the maelworm to him..
first, i calm him down.. when he dun run away.. n juz stop on my pump... i cut the mealworm head.. the juice of the inards come out.. den, i pushed to his mouth...
he grab it... n slowly. finish it.. n den..
the 2nd one.. i try not to cut.. bcoz.. i wan to train him... wah, he is above my expectation... direct grab it..
but..the problem is he din throw away the skin... finish all.. aiks
Update you, I already bought the milk for you. Will let you know which day I will be at Cyber.
Anyway, you don't need to worry about the mealworm skin now.... he is learning, slowly he may learn how to spit it out. For now, you can always choose those white mealworms. The whitish mealworms are newly shed, so the skin is not that hard and easier to digest.
