@kev,
thanks for info. will search for the fella in zth.
as for the rear wiper, where(and how much) to get the "nicer" one ar? anyone in LYN selling?
*
The new styled rear wiper can be bought from spare parts shop, I think nowadays ever Jusco or the other Hypermarkets sell it as well, but workmanship kinda shoddy, after installed looked like senget sebelah, not to mention it always become a target of being stolen, I end up retaining the steel unit on the back of my Kancil and used a better quality wiper instead laugh.gif

guys,newbie here...
do u all know how much is the price for the front absorber mounting..because my right side had kaput already..now feeling the like the car is not position correctly and the right side is higher than the left side...
and also,if u know the estimate value,u must also know the place it located right??..

thanks in advance to all sifu's..
*
Normally if it's kaput, you'll hear sound emitting from the front whenever you go over uneven stretches of road. A quick check would be to open the bonnet and peek inside, the side which had gone kaput usually juts out more than the other side. I might be afraid it's probably the left side unit kaput since you mentioned the right side is higher. Estimate value, for original unit, is around RM70-80 if not mistaken, non-original ones go for around RM30-50 depending on brand, that's pricing for the unit alone, not inclusive of installation, which is around RM10-20 depending on where you go, it'll be the same price as changing the absorbers since you'll have to remove the whole unit anyway.

Converting manual to auto would actually be kinda more complicated than converting auto to manual.

The reason is that a manual to auto conversion would also need the automatic transmission's ECU(or transmission ECU as well if you car has 2 different ECU for the engine and transmission), whereas for an auto to manual conversion, the ECU is optional but optimally would need the manual ECU as well.

Chances are you'll need to find someone willing to swap with you and can leave the car in the same workshop for a few days together with your car to be easier for the workshop to get it done, as parts taken out would be swapped directly to the other car. I believe if you expect someone to top up with you for the swap is probably impossible as the swapping fees itself bare by each owner is already quite a sum.

first of all, its CAMBER.
secondly, if your nut can be adjusted, redo your cambers. Costs about RM25 per wheel. If your nut cannot be adjusted, you've gotta get an adjustable one. not sure bout the price. set camber to either -0.3 for uncle daily driving or -1.5 if you like to whack corners.

ok bro..thankz for the correction of spelling and also the info needed by me..i think the car is standard.so the nut is not adjustable..

by the way,my car is feeling a bit different for the past few days.when i drive at a constant speed of 80km/h i can feel the car sumtimes is underpowered and then suddenly the car have power.so,its feel like suddenly becoming slow, then suddenly the power is there..and when doing high speed at 130 the same feel is still there.why ek??.and also,i feel the power is only on the right side of the tyre..the left side feel different..when taking left corner at 80 and above, the car feel a bit weird and "membuang" a lil bit..is it because of the alignment and balancing of the tyre??..so now driving to work im a bit scared of speeding.just maintain at 80..any sifu's know regarding this matter?

speaking of myvi rotors, i was researching on a few myvi rotors myself...n found these.... mebbe it can help...

SPS rotors... RM440 per pair
- dunno anyone using this... but a friend of mine who has a shop in sunway said he has quite a few Myvi customers using those rotors and theyre happy with them. he also recommended them to me
- already went to the shop to check it out...seems decent enough

Maxtech (RM480 per pair for rotors only)
user posted image
- Scanned this from this month's Extreme Kars magazine
- i only know 1 K2OC feller using for his Kelisa and hes happy with it... he highly recommended it to me...havent had a chance to check it out in person yet though
- the RM800 package is actually very interesting.

IMP rotors. (RM380 per pair)
- dunno anyone using it
- i think its under Improve (the suspension brand)
- got this from the Extreme Kars mag but didnt scan...
- ad says "unwarpable"
- no warranty though
- can view in Terminal One Motorsports in Sg. Buloh. ive dealth with them twice before while they were in sunway, before they moved, and theyre nice people. would recommend them.
- havent checked it out yet

Brembo AM (RM4xx per pair)
More Pix
- BREMBOS!!!!! but not slotted or crossdrilled so has that OEM look
- location in old klang road
- dunno anyone using it
- never checked out myself

@kev da man
ur myvi discs u pasang already right?? how was it done ah?? did they have to use the Myvi knuckle oso? or simply put the calipers and disc on ur stock knuckle? coz if using stock knuckle, then the RM800 package from Maxtech would be really bang for buck and can easily plug n play to our cars.

@ madman,

thanks for ur feedback...

i got a forummer friend in DCM who recommended me this brand, BREMEN, or something like that.

he's not too sure abt the brand, but he's using it on his MYVI for awhile...

he got it for rm150 per pair, which I think a a VERY good price....hehehe

prior to this brand, he mentioned that the stock MYVI brakes warpped a coupla times, until he changed to this brand.... hmm.gif

anyway, u posted up this max tech image....it said "good news for MYVI owners.....etc etc". Wondering why u need to change calipers?

the last time i used ferodo zeros, they were on the kenari stock calipers, RM90 only XD cheap!
myvi pads are slightly bigger, therefore they might be slightly more expensive

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Dec 31 2008, 10:41 AM)
IMHO, and IMHO, SPS is overpriced for rotors that are sourced from other OEMs.
i'd got AXT or brembos or bosch, at least the brands are proven to provide a good minimum level of performance wink.gif
