Wanna to know something bout kenari,

1. Does kenari have engine or gearbox prob? Or any other common problem?

2. Which generation/batch have prob?

3. FC if compare with kelisa? Any different btw kelisa n kenari for d engine?

Planning to get one 2nd hand kenari. So far i found few 2nd hand Kenari(still finding),

01' Auto New Spray+SportRims+Leather Seat = RM21k
02 Manual = RM22k
03 Manual Aerosport = RM23k

Those price is reasonable or too ex/cheap? I prefer to drive manual car.

Hardly hear any engine problem, gearbox wise....when I first got the car, it was a bit hard for me to engage into 1st gear, but after awhile it's ok. I supposed there was rough edges since I got a brand new one. Since you're planing on getting a second hand one, I believe that wont be a issue at all. Regarding other common problems, I think the forum on motor trader is a good guide. One of the infamous problem of kenari would be the wing noise. I think that problem can be countered by installing the oem visor (or any other relevant visor). I hardly troubled by the wing noise even when I reached 100km/h as it has been troubled some other kenari drivers.

Here's the link on motor trader forum :http://www.motortrader.com.my/asp/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9570

Kelisa and Kenari engine are the same. Since Kenari curb weight is heavier than kelisa, by theory it's fuel consumption should be slightly higher. But then again, you'll get a lot more head room compared to kelisa. As regards my birdy, the FC is as good (if not better than) as any kelisa out there. Best result so far is RM10 - 115++KM. Even on average, I can reach 105-108 km with RM10. (RM1.8/L)

I'd recommend you to go for the aerosport manual. The price is reasonable I think, but that has to depend on the mileage as well as other factors. Anyway, all the best for choosing your car. Hope you'll join our rank as a kenarianz soon. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Loseeker, your kenari FC is incredible, and not many ppl can get such FC like u do. I would be happy enough if i can do 90km with RM 10. It's already so much cheaper on fuel if compared to other cars. Haha

Ahsam1212, thanks for the compliment. Actually, I was quite amazed myself. By the way, I just filled up the petrol again last night with the trip counter clocked at 549.1KM and the fill up cost me RM52.50. So approximately 105KM for every RM10. I supposed the good FC due to the smooth traffic condition in this small town of East Malaysia I'm living in. I seriously doubt that I can achieve this kind of FC if I'm living in KL or any part of West Malaysia with heavy traffic Jam daily. sweat.gif

Hi, I'm experiencing some knocking sound at the rear end whenever I am turning left/right or making U-turn. What do you think causes this? Is there any good servicing shops around Subang/Sunway that I can go to?

Many thanks

Woh, no wonder I can reach 530km on average with my kenari since I always cruise around 50-60km/h. Never realized the difference in speed could affect the FC so much. Thanks for the info. rclxms.gif
