keith_hjinhoh,

1) With OIL MONEY running out, how long can ANY GLC last??  How long can ANY subsidies last??

2) It is possible for both Airasia and MAS lose.

Step aside Malaysia political scene, actually those large countries normally will have subsidies on non-profitable domestic routes? No? It's parts of Public utilities.

PS: Small countries does not need to have domestic route..

Air transport is definitely faster, no doubts about that. However, if you take a look at US, ground transportation is an important artery of the U.S economy. (even though New York and S.F is 6 hours by flight, and almost 7 days by driving)

The reason why railroad is unpopular is because the government subsidizes petrol. IF we use the subsidies for petrol to improve our public transportation system like singapore, i don't see why we can't eliminate waste and be less dependent on oil.

IT's a pity, we have more land than singapore but singapore's public transportation system is one of the best in the world. (alongside tokyo, hkg.)

Perhaps because they're small, thus easier to manage. Demand vs supply.

I do agree that Malaysia public transport sux. The ministry of transport is just too short-sighted when they do planning.

Our public transport either rail road, buses, taxis unpopular is because they always late, out of schedule, pack, sub-standard driver, and list goes on!

Question here,

I noticed that for a dividen counter, there is exdate and payment date. So, for example, the exdate for TA is 01/07 and payment date is 01/08 , i know that if i buy the counter before 01/07 i will get the dividen payout, but if i sell it on 02/07 , will i still get the dividen ?

1) which means I buy 1 day before exdate and sell one day after exdate, I still entitle for the dividend, right?

2) Anyone has inside news or forecast that AISB will give how many dividend?

3) if let say they give 10% dvidend, means it is based on par value or current market pricec?

Thanks in advance!

1) Yes

2) inside news? Never ever trust inside news as even got one, when it reached to you, it is already too late. Most so called 'inside news' is just the news spread by syndicate in order to lure retailers to buy where they can 'goreng' or disposing. The above statement has nothing to do with AISB as I didn't follow this stock so don't know about it.

3) Par value.

Cheers.

I also felt that tomorow will drop, The star predict that more members will leave the party and less youngsters will join umno. Anyway, counter like Gpacket will boost tomorrow since intel confirm of their investment.

If market drops tomorrow = opportunity to pick up stocks(good ones) ala just after GE!
My recommendation= steel stocks if opportunity presents it self.
