jailbreaking only applies if you wanna use 3rd party apps

to use the iphone with any local sim card i.e a non-supported network provider, the correct term is "unlock"


but you first need to "activate" it before you can even play around or use the iphone as an expensive ipod touch with a camera

surprisingly, the queue in caltex along the plaza ttdi didnt have a long queue. i barely waited for 5 mins for my turn.

there is a logical explanation for the lag in your photo albums.


bear in mind, the camera roll tends to have a more substantial lag compared to the rest of the folders (synced via itunes)


the reason is pretty obvious, the pictures inside the camera roll are in full resolution and quality whilst the rest have been already compressed and optimised by itunes to save space and yet taking advantage of its vibrant screen without compromising quality.

hmmm i tried that before many times (in fact different combinations) and you can somehow still manage to access the net via the network after a couple attempts. no point arguing about this as i have received the same feedback from customers when i was working part time in geek.


the best is still boss pref, i reckon. the latest update is very stable i must say.

errr not really mate.


edge is an enhanced version of gprs and therefore can provide a much faster data connection. i quote from wikipedia "EDGE/EGPRS is a superset to GPRS and can function on any network with GPRS deployed on it, provided the carrier implements the necessary upgrade".


edge availability is noted with an 'E' inside the blue box whilst gprs is merely a blue box.


however, there has always been debates about this; sometimes your phone might show an edge coverage but ironically it can be slower than grps. thats because the speed is highly dependent on signal strength and of course the network provider (hence we can observe that digi's edge is way better than maxis)
