OK, i'm here to confirm that the slow wifi issue in my iphone caused by ziphone has been fixed by doing a restore and re-JB by iLiberty thumbup.gif

Thus, i guess it's safe to say that the damage done by ziphone is not permanent nod.gif

Hope that clears everyone's doubt.
*
no no. what i meant by permanent is if you ignore the problem and continue using ziphone. the effect is not instantaneous.

reason for asking on the file type and extension above is because i saw some crack on some site, they all come in zip file. i wasnt sure if i m suppose to unzip.  on iLiberty, when we download the payload, its in zip, no need to unzip them.

dont post it out right dude. just ask members to pm you their respective e-mail addresses and just forward to them.

safe and simple.

Try find under Installer then go to uninstaller .. there you can see what has been installed and what has not ...
*
were you referring to the_mask86 post? i think he was asking another question IMHO.

to the_mask86, i dont think there is a way to tell unless you can recall seeing a Z webicon pointing to zibri (if im not mistaken) on the springboard. if such icon did exist, then your phone was 'done' using ziphone.

but from what i can observe, most sellers prefer to use ziphone due to its "easier" nature.

question: did anyone here successfully setup streamyx pop mail in iphone and retrieve/send emails?
*
i have not tried it before myself per se. but when i was working in geek, when i helped one of the clients to troubleshoot his iphone, i observed that one of his email accounts is set to streamyx's. so IMHO, it will work

when i tried the xpac; celcom's prepaid the last time (because my streamyx was done for a few days), i did realise that celcom does not support egde (only gprs)

but i have to say that celcom's hsdpa speed is admirable. i could download my movies/series at a speed much faster than a cable streamyx.

from my personal experience, maxis' hsdpa becomes more inferior as the height from the ground increases (applicable to high rise buildings). but having said that celcom's hsdpa still remains impressive even at those equivalent heights.

CORRECT.. I am using Postpaid DIGI and subscribe to EDGE unlimited (abt RM60/month). Been downloading applications via installer and movies via MXTube with ease and stability (even I'm on a bus on the way to work while listening to the music with the earphone plus answering calls at times) Been great mannn

^is ur wifi available on the road?

EDGE is not fast connection but it helps u when you dont have any wifi point and you need to download mail/surf web..

yes, as Maxis has EDGE connection, iphone will use EDGE.
*
good point on the wifi thing, bro Seadege.

but as for neoadv, your view is a little deviated im afraid. try using edge and 3g (or particularly hsdpa) a little often and you may actually observe some marked differences. biggrin.gif

Added on July 3, 2008, 12:20 pmfyi, there isnt 3g (or even gprs) coverage along the north south highway most of the time.

hence, you cant even retrieve mms at those conditions, let alone surfing the net blush.gif

disclaimer: this observation was done using a maxis sim card.

okay, regulars here would definitely know that i do not condone ziphone as the primary tool. but having said that everyone is entitled to their own personal preference.

back to your case, the only thing which i can recommend is try to restore again. did you create as a new phone or restore from backup. if possible, try to create as a new phone; always advisable to do that.
