damn nice. after 1 hour of playing i managed to get it down to 139.9xx. Sometime i just throttle it too early, causing it to spin off. Did you do yours with TCS on?

g25 and now i'm down to 1:38:052 lol. Need to find another 0.4 to pass KY. I lost lots of time in the middle sector especially the s turns and the turn before that. If i could get them right then it should be possible

Yeah just buy it. Wont take long to get used to it, just remember not to slam ur throttle right away after corner, otherwise you'll spin off. Gradually is the key

Last sunday i learned a new thing : The power of short shifting lol. It's extremely useful to enable you to get back on full throttle as full as possible, or to prevent
oversteering as there'll be less wheelspin at a lower rpm. Everytime I feel like the car is going over it's slip limit, i'll shift up as soon as possible to prevent oversteering. I still lost a lot of time at the S turns but still managed to better my time by quite a bit using the shortshifting trick. The trick is to know when to use it. Now off to normal car |

by lost of momentum you mean slower acceleration right? If so, yeah that's right but not spinning off and being able to full throttle earlier compensate for that. Most
obvious example is 4:34 in my video. I would've spin for sure had i stay in 3rd gear. I could let go of the throttle a bit and countersteer but that would've lost me time as the corner is leading to a long straight. That's why i said the key is to know when to use it. |

QUOTE(aaron5829 @ Dec 23 2009, 04:38 PM) Yea.. that's about sums it up.... just drive as consistenly as possible... relax... and try hard not to think about the lap time... lol yeah i probably should xD. I just love having the security of knowing the 'true' racing line or when to brake, etc. That S hairpin is really killing my time -0.3s ahead of my best in the previous sector and came out +0.2s after the hairpin wtf lol. Tried to watch some replays but can't seem to get my speed up to 80kph+ like they do. And they seem to be able to just hug the curb easily. If i tried to do that I'll either be too slow or end up overshooting the turn. Tips/trick please I tried too hard before... and i always couldnt break a certain time... but when i relax.. concentrate on brakes, acceleration and racing line... eventually, the time will start to tumble... Added on December 23, 2009, 4:44 pmZeri... i think you're good enough to turn off that racing line... lol just saying. |

QUOTE(fukairei @ Dec 24 2009, 11:48 AM) nope, wheelQUOTE(milkround @ Dec 24 2009, 08:23 PM) I saw some people downshift to 2nd at the S-pin, some hang on to 3rd. Which one is better? I feel slow if using 3rd gear, whereas 2nd u need to very delicate with the throttle. I think 1.38.4 is the most i can do. First s corner is definitely 2nd gear better but for the 2nd one i saw some shift up to 3rd when they reached 80kph and stay there. Personal preference i think. I'm pretty certain the best way to go about that hairpin is by hugging the curb at around 50kph, accelerate to 80+ then hug again(no braking), while readying to full throttle on the exit. Thing is, it's not easy to do QUOTE(amduser @ Dec 24 2009, 08:28 PM) 1:46 means you still got a lot of room for improvement that Yin613 is lyn forumer or not? Broke 1:36 already damn nice |

QUOTE(Thrust @ Jan 6 2010, 07:25 PM) I log in using SG PSN Account. Hhmm... The top guy only managed 1.36.488 which is a far cry from those 1.35.xxx timing. lol I think i know why. I'm guessing you downloaded the demo using japan psn, but play using sg acc. You're what they'd call NTSC outsiders i think. how come ar?? Which A/C should I use? I got MY, JPN, UK, and US The leaderboard i'm seeing is here http://gtdb.net/?tt/80:total |
