clngu, fL level of LG PG60 is equals 0.0084fL. which is very impressive and is basically equal(lost abit) to the 11G Panasonics(0.009fL) but nether can beat the 8G Kuros with their 0.004fL rating....and dont even think about comparing these to the upcoming 9G Kros with 0.001fL and better minimum luminance levels."

Note : fL = foot-lamberts, measurement related to the brightness of a particular image and is equal to 1 lumen per sq. foot of screen surface.

any 1 can recommand me ah..
toshiba 42x3500
sharp 42a63
Samsung LA46N81

which 1 u all preffer my budget is 7.5k and 42" or 46" is not a issue for me. tq

Between toshiba and sharp, me choose the toshiba. Did comparison between this 2 and notice that the sharp is abit darker, and on astro the toshiba is more clear. However till now still havent buy so my findings could be wrong biggrin.gif

the question now is....get the 8th generation or wait for the 9th generation ??? unsure.gif

No offense.. but that's a silly question.

There will ALWAYS be something better coming up.

That's technology.... if not how to sell?

For me, only look at waiting if next model is imminent.... within a month or at most two.

If you can really afford to wait longer, that means that you're not ready to buy (again not an insult - as no problems about not buying).

After all, many of us do have good TVs already.

Personally, I would have still kept my clunky CRT in my TV room if not for the fact that I was shifting house.

Fact is that many of us primarily use our TVs for Astro.... and unfortunately that's still in 4:3 and limited quality.

If getting lcd/plasma primarily for home cinema, I agree that projector is the way to go for those who can afford it.

I suppose to get Pioneer 508 (Kuro 8th Generation) this week ... but when I look at 509 (Kuro 9th Generation) specification ... I prefer to wait for few months

509, 1920X1080p Full HD at 100Hz, release in June 2008 ... 508, 1365x768 HD

509 featuring black levels 5 times deeper than 508

509, 9.4cm (3.7") thinness, reduced by nearly 20 percent over 508

509, 14-bit panel driving (508, 12bit panel driving) ... Panasonic latest PZ8xx series, 12bit panel driving

509, native contrast ratio around 40,000 or above, ansi around 8,000

Conclusion, this is the best ever Plasma being made so far smile.gif
