Hey, you guys' iswara, whats the mileage you guys can get from a full tank??? My iswara 1.5 auto sedan year 2000 model can only get 300km with full tank of about RM70...

How about you guys??? Any ideas why my car's fuel consumption so bad??? Could it be a clogged exhaust???
*
erm.. mayb tuning problem..
auto will have high fc due to the 3speed gearbox (correct me if im wrong)
got check ur tires pressure? wat engine oil rating u using? alot factors influence the fc

*
try use back mineral engine oil with rating 20w50. u can use semi syn with 10w40 or 15w50 if ur ride does not have engine oil consumption prob.. the brand of the engine oil is depending ur budget loh
try bardahl, cheap and not bad. or castrol

Eibach,Tein & GAB which is the best lowered spring? i wan to change GAB or Monroe absorber, GAB lowered spring ok ok only. right? rclxub.gif
give opinion pls.
*
confirm eibach n tein nvr produce lowered spring for saga iswara!

QUOTE(CerealKiller @ Jun 2 2008, 07:39 AM)
Eibach & Tein i dunno they got lowered spring to fit in our car nicely or not, need sifoo to confirm bout this but looks like they are not producing any lowered for our car lah  icon_question.gif

G|A|B lowered spring actually the quality ok ok, quite nice when take high speed corner if paired with short stroke absorber  nod.gif

Or u can opt for Improve sport spring (dopeisgood is using it on his car), yellow in colour lagi tu  tongue.gif

Other than that try Tanabe, i forget what model, is it NF model dopeisgood? u told me about it on previous TT before.

Dopeisgood = Improve
Catacomb = Kimex
Andy = "F1"  brows.gif
blackpc = APM Performax

those are sport/lowered spring user that I know, u can ask for their opinion about their sport/lowered spring  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
i think it should be tanabe GF if i not mistaken.. the spring alone cost around rm600 without installation.. i know kakimotor has it..
yeah im using improve.. so far so good

QUOTE(singchaii @ Jun 2 2008, 08:06 AM)
I don't think Eibach and Tein got make spring for our car.. Since you have budget for Eibach and Tein, why not you go for Titan? Before you installed lowered spring, make sure your absorber is short stroke absorber or lowered absorber. Or else, ready to change absorber every 3 months.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
yeah ur rite..
yeah lowered spring is better to paired with short stroke or sport abs or else ur stock abs will kong very soon..
titan mus prepare at least rm2k and above! brows.gif

QUOTE(CerealKiller @ Jun 2 2008, 08:12 AM)
yes u r right singchaii, must paired lowered spring with short stroke absorber (hahahahaha...habislah u andy, how's ur abs ok lagi?  brows.gif )

if using short stroke absorber with stock spring then ok lah, like mine  blush.gif

Titan ar..ermmm..if u wanna change to Titan it's ok then can custom make it for u, but the slight prob is it takes a long time to finish, u come morning paling cepat pun petang baru siap..from setup, test drive, setup again, until u satisfied..
*
yeah short stroke abs paired with stock spring still ok but u cant bring out the best of ur short stroke abs loh..
yeah titan n custom the abs n spring according to ur need/driving style.. tuning till ur puas puas.. but pay till u muntah.. haha

QUOTE(wkho555 @ Jun 2 2008, 08:30 AM)
then how about GAB SA absorber. is it short stroke absorber?
*
i think it should be

QUOTE(singchaii @ Jun 2 2008, 08:40 AM)
Titan is good ma... Haha.. Short stroke absorber with stock spring, is okay.
GAB SA can pair with lowered spring. Don't worry.. Why you always mention mirage? Wanna transplant izit?  doh.gif  doh.gif

Actually convert from caburetor to EFI, RM1k settle. I asked this last month as I wanna convert to EFI.. Half cut using 4g13 efi from wira or satria which come with ECU as well...
*
the ECU is MMC wan or siemens wan?? hmm.gif
convert to EFI is good for future projects.. haha brows.gif

QUOTE(singchaii @ Jun 2 2008, 08:53 AM)
First of all, you need to see what kind of sound it was.. Sound dampening usually is to block outside noise such like tire sound and minimize the wind sound.

Talking about sound proof, my parent just bought a Nissan Latio 1.8 sedan with aerokit. This car sound proof was awesome. The car from factory already have sound dampening and deadening. Even the dashboard is created to absorb sound... When stock at traffic light, the car engine was like not running. In cabin, hardly can listen engine sound running.. It beat my civic down. Civic can hear the engine sound in the cabin.
*
wah richnye.. got civic den now latio 1.8
why dun wanna buy impul tuned latio?? brows.gif

Guys, still hoping for your feedback. Pls don't forget my question otherwise I feel like  cry.gif

Haha just kidding.

But would really appreciate your help in deciding whether which is the best option for my iswara.

This open pod and drop in filter question still playing in my head  rclxub.gif

biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif
*
go for drop in if u dunno have any plan to changing to better carburator (eg weber) or any other major mods such as highcam, PnP or transplant.. drop in is ez to maintain n give u the stock look.. CAI is ready there as u jus use back the stock air box.. the noise generate is same like stock air filter but the performance is thumbup.gif as im using k&n drop in.. also it improve low end power which is good for city drivin

go for open pod if u plan to change to weber carb. but this onli applies to round type/ufo type of filter. cone type or mushroom type will have prob after tat.. for open pod air filter, noise generate will be louder n is good for high rev (unless ur a high RPM freak.. hehe).. open pod need proper CAI or else ur car will feel sluggish.. need to locate away from heat source.. but when pop the hood den the feel nicer.. haha

Still thinking. If I convert to EFI, i need to mod to play other thing. If I just convert to EFI and not doing anything, I prefer stay with carb. Furthermore, EFI kit is not light. Kinda heavy compare with carb kit.
*
of cuz lah.. intake manifold diff d.. got throttle body.. got so many wiring summore.. ECU too.. but u opt for aftermarket piggyback wor.. BOT oso no prob d.. haha

My new update...  Yokohama Parada Spec 2..

Feedback about this info, The grip is farking awesome no matter in wet or dry. But when dry, seriously it damn grip that wet road. tested today along genesis road. This tyre kinda funny that cannot change to left right. Left it left, right it right because of the thread patern. (I think is under semi slick categories)

Another update, Ultra Racing rear strut. Actually wanna install lower arm bar but need to order. Then rear strut bar got stock. So installed it at autogen just now. The feedback for this bar is awesome for box car like saga/iswara. You can feel the different when driving on uneven road, bumper. But when pek corner, you can feel more obvious of the improvement. Howie help me install this bar and the workmanship is nice. Not cut all the plastic cover and only cut a small cover and can keep it nicely.
