yes.. can be used as stated in manual..

______________________________________________

hope 1.3 will not be launch in malaysia...

already made disappointment for CBU owners because of CKD version... car price drop kao kao..

if 1.3 version out.. and its a manual.. existing CKD and CBU will point middle finger to suzuki...

just like LITE version on proton..

I believe you are one of the existing Swift owner?
Potential buyer will anticipate of the 1.3 launch though.
This will all depends on Suzuki objective to capture Malaysia hatchback market or not.

So far Swift is still consider as a premium hatchback.
1.3 might or might not (depends on the model) lower down the status of existing Swift.
Anywhere i still hope it will be launch in Malaysia biggrin.gif

This is the price one has to pay for being an early adopter. Relax... at least they'll still have boasting rights for buying an original CBU. icon_idea.gif

Also 1.3 version won't have as much power as 1.5.

But I heard Swift Sport Manual version performance about the same as Automatic version. Of course that is Sport though. hmm.gif

That is absolutely incorrect. The manual Sports not only more efficient in fuel consumption wise but also much faster in pick up as well as better top speed, than the auto version.

Well, I'm basing from what I've read on some forums. Like this guy on the Swift Club Malaysia forums.

Correct me if Im wrong
1.5 have VVT DOHC whereby 1.3 have DOHC
Both is different technology right?
Therefore 1.5 should have a greater efficiency and power.
Thus 1.3M might not tapau 1.5A

dudes
my mum already fixed to sell my suzuki vitara 1997 2 door for a swift sport 1.6 at below 100k (M/T) - the car's for me by the way
my uncle's the former CEO of suzuki malaysia so getting it aint a problem but he himself hinted to my parents to think of the hot hatches like

- mini coopers
- honda jazz 1.6
- (even a sport sedan like the Lancer GT 2.0)

im sure the swift sport would be a great idea to continue my parents' legacy of owning another excellent suzuki but at that price, sometimes i myself scratch my head

any inputs?

GO FOR IT.

With a swift you can mod like theres no tmr.

you can do the same with other cars. but you know. just more things to do with for this lil thing.

imho the jazz is well... wont turn as much heads as the swift.

the car is fun on the road. like srsly fun.

But thing is.

you should just test drive all 3. and decide for yourself.

i've never test driven any but i've got friends who own the 3
whenever i ketuk the body, i can feel that they are all flimsy steel...the same for the fenders too unlike my vitara...which is uber tough
haha...

but then again, these cars have proper safety features despite the above whilst the vitara only has tough body and safety belt as my lifeline
hehehe...

Mini Cooper / S is a very good car but it is seriously overpriced in Bolehland.
In UK Swift Sport is 12k n in Msia is about 100k. ie. 8.3x
In UK Mini Cooper is about 16k n in Msia is about 200k ie. 12.5x
If u can afford it n dont mind being ripped off, then choose a MINI

What you're saying holds no water and is baseless without any sort of hard facts apart from a poorly fimled Youtube video.

The 1.5 has more displacement than a 1.3, hence it will be faster unless of course if its using a manual tranny. But judging from the current market, should the 1.3 be launched here, it'll be an Auto.
