Who in their right mind will buy CKD version if it;s more expensive than CBU version? Only the swift sport 1.6 is CBU, the ordinary swift is CKD

how the differences btw CKD/CBU built up?
*
The Suzuki sales men told me difference is the CKD still retain 90% of its parts from Japan while the 10% item like rubber, windscreen glass, floor mat, etc... are from malaysia. Of cause they have an assembly plant in Msia as well la(4got where). dats how they manage to bring down the price a little.

I have been sourcing a 2nd hand unit for quite sometimes. Dun buy any swift selling above RM55K for 2005. It is overpriced. If they wanna trade, used car dealer is only taking it in less than RM50k. If u insist to buy, then better dun cry.gif ohh.... brows.gif

*unless the condition of car and milage is vy good.

suzuki swift owner reporting in...well jus get my blacky CKD on 28/2, driving for bout 2 months d...very happy with it...good handling le...

bout FC, i can said is much more heavy comparing same class 1.5 like vios and city....1st thousand km, is take me bout 18-19cent/km le..(town driving)...nw mine is bout 8k++ d, city+highway, cost me around 16cent/km...

swift is 4 auto, D->3->2-L....so if u drive by D, sure is underpower, coz the rpm is keep btw 2k-3k rpm.....so when driving around town area, my advice is push to 3, u wont feel it was underpower, then when on highway, push it back to D after 110-120km/h, it will save a lot of FC.

personally, i prefer swift vs city (vtec)....when i drove my sis city, i feel hatchback is much more stable and good cornering....honestly speak, 72k is worth for it...

what do u wan try to say?

if ur car is CBU, ur new car is not really a new brand car. it's been stuck in the port for months perhaps.
