Karry: Hey, I noticed ToyBox had draft on 7th June, generally same price and format, as CCE Games. Is this going to continue for the foreseeable future? Or was it a one-off event? Can you check? I don't mind putting together a session there cos I wanted to bring Hari and Adrian Kuan there to show them something too.

that's exactly RIGHT.

the big benefit of the centralised prerelease event is the large turnout for a vast number of players, casual & serious, to turn up. there's a positive externality from being able to meet n=100 players, rather than n=40 players. More interactions = more fun.

when we spread them all out, the turnout's going to be poor.

And let's face it, 4 rounds in a pool of 100, is not as competitive as 4 rounds in a pool of 40. this is one of the reasons why a prerelease is fun and relaxing too. it's meant to be sociable and fun - and be able to draw in the crowds.

well not sure will i be able to make it for the prerelease or not but i hope i do...
prereleases are always good and fun...
