I will be waiting for at least 2 yrs, to see if they oversubscribe like TM does. tongue.gif

You can be sure 100%, oversubscription is going to happen. Standard ISP practice it to oversell their bandwidth. They work with knowledge not all subscriber will utlize 100% of the bandwidth all the time. What i am looking at is for them not to oversell their bandwidth like TM does. TM seriously oversell their bandwidth for general consumers to a point of it being ridiculous!

Errmm.. What is the extra column of RM10.00 charges for Nationwide access?

Did anyone bring up the question to P1 personell whether or not they blocked or limited bandwith for P2P/Torrent?

Let say you wish to carry your notebook or whatever with WiMax modem to other areas, then RM10 for that nationwide access, anywhere where there is WiMax coverage. Soon, we can see notebooks with WiMax chipset integrated.

I did bring up to them, apparently, it was a booth in front of LowYat, I asked them whether they are the "dealer", was a Yes. To your questions, they happily said NO block, NO limit. We need to re-look into their T&C on these.

Yup, proxies and socks do helps a lot to unthrottle the p2p speed which throttled by TM. I always got a full speed of downloading p2p while using some asia servers to make a socks.

Errmm.. What is the extra column of RM10.00 charges for Nationwide access?

Did anyone bring up the question to P1 personell whether or not  they blocked or limited bandwith for P2P/Torrent?

The extra column is the charges if you want to bring your CPE out of the place where you are registered to (imagine if balik kampung also can use internet).
For streamyx, you can't bring your modem and use it elsewhere cause your account is somehow registered to your phone line. Since P1 W1MAX is a wireless connection, it could bypass that limitation. That's one of the thumb up for wireless technology.

Looking at the pricing, it might look expensive but if you are looking at phone+streamyx, actually the price is close to what TM is offering but slightly cheaper. It's targeting people who don't need a phone at home (everyone has mobile phone nowaday) but are forced to sign up for a phone at home (not use but still charged monthly fee) by TM strategy for home broadband.

I personally believe there is no ISP in the world who doesn't block P2P for broadband users tongue.gif.
It just doesn't make sense right? ... else who will pay for leased line? laugh.gif
