QUOTE(Denis @ Jul 26 2013, 04:01 PM) Hi, I m new to Paypal. Malaysia to Malaysia probably best to use credit card. If i want to make a payment to Malaysia company (Malaysia to Malaysia), is it advisable to pay via Paypal or using a credit card to pay directly? FYI, this company is new to me. I had read through several pages but couldn't find anybody raising such question and due to time constraint I couldn't finish all the pages, sorry for that if such question was raised afterwards in the following pages ... There is always option to stop payment from credit card though a bit of hassle here and there if anything wrong happens Paypal wise may incur higher fees and seller may want to increase selling price but this depends on how you nego with the seller |

QUOTE(MNet @ Jul 27 2013, 07:21 AM) This is what i do: 1) I created paypal account. 2) I go to ebay n click on the seller. And choose the product and make payment. 3) Got email notify and asked me to make payment. So i make the payment using debit card without loging in(because it's my first time so i dont know that much). 4) after make the payment i received the receipt. Then i log in to my paypal acc n there is no transaction history. 5) so afterwards the seller email me saying they cant send the items to malaysia and again i received email from paypal saying that the seller issue full refund. 6) up till now. Am selling e-books using paypal as payment gateway. Generated some good income and wanted to remit back to my Malaysia bank account. Are these remittances subject to income tax? Sifu, any advice? |

Hi guys,
I linked my Maybank Visa Debit Card with my paypal account. Been having NO problems making purchases, but recently, this error started popping out very frequently. Whenver I try to make a payment, this error will appear "We couldn't complete your purchase, because the card issuer declined your card MasterCard x-2665. We've chosen another payment method for you. Please continue with this payment method, or choose a different one" I called up Maybank multiple times!! I told them I was trying to make a payment on paypal, but my transaction was cancelled. The operator didn't know what she was doing (I presume), because she said I have never activated some international stuff, that's why I am not able to make international purchases online until now. uhh, but i have been making international payments all these whiles. I keep telling her, but she kept insisting that I go and try the card again. but the error still appear!!! HELPPPP |

yup for paypal link-up with your debit/credit card, need to call in first & ask them to allow international transactions. i guess its one of the mechanism to prevent fraud.

Hey all,
I have a question. Recently I have started buying some things from Ebay and I paid with Credit Card (still has to go through Paypal). However, I notice one thing, after the currency exchange... Let's say it costs me about RM8. My credit card statement shows that it deducts RM8 (which is correct). However, upon checking my credit card balance, it deducts about RM12 instead, which is RM4 more. I could check my credit card balance as I am using the BIG Card, prepaid credit card, easier for me to track the money. This is not the first time I am experiencing this. I bought around 3 items and each of them deduct about RM4 - RM5 more than the price charged to me. Yet my statement only shows the RM8 instead of the RM12, all the extra charges are not shown. I checked with BIG Card and they said it's unposted amount, but I don't think they get my point as if it's unposted amount, they should be credited back to me again right? Has anyone experienced this? Is this some hidden charges from the Paypal? Thanks for your advice and help, anyone. |

I am also new to all this banking and cards stuff.
Currently I am acquiring a card which can withdraw money from ATM machine( i think is debit card... ). So, paypal require me to fill in the cards code, and also the 3 number behind the card. May I ask whether it is safe onot? Is this card applicable or must need credit card for paypal? |

If you check out using CC instead of PayPal, the possibility is there was a Temporary Auth Charge of USD1 charged temporarily to your account. However this charge will be canceled and not reflected in statement and should be released back to account. |
