lol.. not trying to scare u off.. but there are decent numbers of ppl failing in this course.. But if you are good in maths, i don't see why you shouldn't pursuit ur dream course?
*
i dun dare 2 say dat i m gud in maths bcuz there r lotz of ppl outdere who r better den me ..
2 b honest i like maths bcuz it's a sub dat i m comfortable with ....
n i heard dat act science is not solely focus on maths .. econs, biz n acc would cum in as well ..
dat creates variation n i thk dat reduces de boredom of studying oso ....

it is my dream course indeed .. but i m juz worried dat i cant cope up v de stress of doing dis course only .. phew ==''

experienced? y not..
there are more good lecturers teaching in utar now,
for ex, my intermediate calculus lecturer,
dr.wong, is a well known statistic lecturer in malaysia, he taught in UM, and monash Uni before he came here because his wife is here tongue.gif, according to my other lecturer in foundation, he is the only 1 in malaysia that is very good in statistic and yet capable of teaching all subjects of pure maths(yawn.gif)
but the way he speak is somehow too pro.. haha
u might or might not understand wat he mean..

hmm this is rather subjective.. i've studied for 1 year ++ in UTAR.. and i must say that, not all is bad, some are very good at teaching! Any school also there'll be a bad lecturer, even my friend studying in Aus monash, also he said some of the lecturer there very boring/monotone when teaching. My friend say the teacher quite ok 1.. Dun scared, as long as you have the passion, math is easy..

utar is cheapest around i think.. but i heard la, the fees is increasing each year.. is that true? when i enter foundation that time, my fees was 7k altogether, and i heard before this its around 3-4k.. dunno whether real or not hmm.gif

Seriously, if you ask me, I would say UTAR is jz an above average university. Definitely not the best one around. But, its good enuff to help you to secure a job in future.

I have seniors pursuing their postgrad all around the world and I would say the cert from UTAR is still widely recognized. You might have doubt on my words, but try to come to UTAR and talk to the lecturer themselves. You will gain more in-sight of UTAR from there.
