it's called Red Cliff bcos it took place at a place called 赤壁, direct translation is Red Cliff lor

It's the one of the most famous and fiercest battle in 3 Kingdom story.

How it end? as per history lor... Cao Cao got beaten and run away. I expect there will be lots and lots of fire in the last battle scene, bcos that's how they won the battle by using fire

just saw the movie this aftenoon, great movie although a bit short....

only prob is why all the costume more like japanese than chinese...

especially a.lu went to d room whre d 4 tiger generals kpt their armor...

like some scene out of Shogun..

just finished this movie..erm, overall i like it very much, tho' my frens said that better can be done..i personally like the battle scenes..and maggie q's character, i dun tink got..so is zhang fei's son..and

hello... this is my 2nd post in lowyat.net... the 'red cliff' (chi bi?) trailer really gives me goosebumps... can't wait for the movie... and really glad it's in mandarin... make it sound more authentic... although i wont understand a word...

btw... i wanted to watch 3kingdoms earlier today... TGV mines serdang not showing... bloody hell... gotta go KL to see... nice to meet u all

great movie! andy lau was fantastic. love the part he saves 'ah dou' on his own! and the final part which he insisted to battle was touching too.

overall 8.5/10

the red cliff is in the end, tony leung will die if according to real story. he died because his plan all failed with the greatness of zhuge liang. he angry till vomit blood and died.

emm.. maggie Q got any steamy scenes??

very good movie! 8/10 .. -2 because not enough want more

But for MQ's character, i don't know.

Thanks to alot of Dynasty Warriors, pretty much knew most of the major battles, though not correct to the smallest details, but at least can get the big picture .

don't know when i really have time and money to watch this movie.. i love this kinda movie and Maggie Q as well

how come i just met my friend who just watched this afternoon and he said bored to the max....

his colleague even slept half way......

and the battle scenes very few only ..... the trailers showed them all.....

well, if you are looking for an intense battle scenes, this might not be the movie for you.

if you are looking for a feel of the romance of the three kingdom (though some of the characters are fictional, namely maggie q,etc) and with good scenary view and you are a big fan of andy lau, you should give it a try.

it's true there's not much of a better scene, but if u go in without expectation, it's a good battle movie of its own with some brotherhood trust and you will see some glimpse of the greatness zhuge liang. gosh..

Speaking of Zhuge Liang

I like this story romance of three kingdom.

But the last 1 who give pouch is zhugeliang or Zou Ci ? I got confuse coz the story keep skip.
