Why buy the Air if you want to run Windows/Linux? Why not buy one of the many (cheaper) Windows/Linux ultraportables out there? If you purpose is NOT an ultraportable but a machine that will run all platforms then you will be severely limited by the small harddrive of the Air and also the limited RAM expansion.

QUOTE(zulzul @ Jun 5 2008, 01:29 PM) Added on June 5, 2008, 1:31 pmAny feedback on heat issue? I read in other forums that there is very bad heat issue... some ppl say after 10.5.3 is better, other ppl say no change. Some run Coolbook, some don't. Basically, from those ppl who experience heat issue, it can become core shutdown? If you use your MBA without aircon is it a problem? But after coolbook (USD10), it runs cooler, no core-shutdown and battery last longer. Best USD 10 I had ever spent. |

Can MB Air supports DotA? Will it lag?
Im planning to get a MacBook Air mainly because the slim-ly-ness of it and the fine burden to travel around with. But it looks fragile and im afraid if it breaks down, how will the repair is done since the parts seems to be all joint together. First time buying a Mac notebook so abit nervous on choosing the correct one. |
