how does it works?

with ur hotlink package, u need to dial *100# to activate the service.

no info on expiration, reload charges, etc. etc.

only for hotlink user?
after activated use the phone to surf?

what kind of Hotlink SIM cards are we getting nowadays? 2G or 3G SIM card?

if i have 2G SIM card, how do i activate the plan then? do i need to swap my sim for a newer 3G sim?

Hey can I ask which modem would be the best to use with the Maxis 3G unlimited? I'm so sick of my current Celcom bb that never works =.=;;

I'm thinking of subscribing for the Maxis Broadband because they are currently having a PC Fair Promo. Can anyone give me advise on which one is better -

#1. With device (Modem) RM58 - No speed capping with Volume Quota of 1.5GB
#2. Without device (Modem) RM58 - Speed cap at 3.6Mbps with Volume Quota of 2GB

I would rather get option #2 because of the 2GB Volume Quota but does the speed capping make a huge difference?

Also can someone please recommend a USB Modem Datacard. There's so many models out on the market and it gets confusing. My budget is about RM200-RM250.

Why dont you try using Celcom modem with maxis.
If not, you have to unlock the modem so that any telco can be used.


With device = with contract???
Better go for deal without contract so that you can terminate easily if you don't like the service.

Best modem is ZTE MF622 or a cheaper alternative is Huawei E220.

Both options are with contract. Device means the Modem. So one option with modem, one without.

Guys!!! help i got problem with maxshit ..

today i got speed only 6kbps only??? WTF ...
and i called already and complaint to them ...
but they said my usage of download still below 3GB , which mean i not over the cap yet ..
then why i get this speed? line problem? oh no .. i got full Bar of maxshit line ..
and at the one day i just get 6kbps now ... WT heck is happening?
maxshit doing shit to me? or other problem ? modem problem ?

it's normal to me with their "oh i dunno why your speed is slow try off on modem go into GPRS mode" statement.

im using the old white modem btw.

Im using maxix BB for a few days now. Signed up for the 3gig limit.

Internet speed is good. But I should have read 7. in the Terms and Conditions.

Well, I am not using Kazaa or CO but I am downloading files using RapidShare. My speed is at 180kbs and falls to 0 in 10 seconds. Then it goes up to 180 and falls to 0.. and so on.

If I sign up for BB then I can do any s*hit i wanna do with it. I can surf for news, p*rn, anything I like. As long as I stay in my god damn 3gig limit.

Maxis treates me like shit - ok. I cancel my line tomorrow - and as lucky I am I ll get all my money back since only 6 days have past.

This kind of companies wont learn. Lame Management. There is no customer experience in this **** company. A big FU to Maxis. I wont recommend you to any of my friends over here. In the long-term those companies die in the market.
